Are these issues on the 2014 models? If so, why aren't they fixed (TSB issues addressed) before selling them if they're already aware of it.

TSBs don't necessarily apply to every vehicle in a given production range. While a TSB may result in a change in production, it may not. It's up to the manufacturer to decide if it's better to deal with the problem on a case by case basis (TSB repair), or make a production change.

If there's one of particular interest to you open it up, they have dates and VIN ranges that they apply to.

I wouldn't know what to look for. I am picking up my 2014 on Saturday, and my only concern is if the frame rust issue has been addressed.

If you live in an area that has a lot of winter road salt use, or live near saltwater, you may want to consider using a rust inhibitor.

Lol. Salt? I live in Newfoundland on the extreme east coast of North America. We average over 120 inches of snow annually, and use tons and tons and tons of salt. It's awful. Vehicles here have just rotted with salt.

I had the Krown rust-proofing done yesterday, so I'm good on that front. However, I do have a question about Fluid Film. I am considering getting under the vehicle and trying to spray every nook and cranny that the Krown Proofing might have missed. Will Fluid Film on top of Krown have any dire effect? I am guessing not.

2011 with a rusted frame? Wow. That ain't good. Have you had that 2011 frame treated? How about the 4Runner. Had a 4runner about 15 years ago. couldn't keep gas in it! Hope the Tacoma is better!

And that sir is exactly where I am at the moment. I pick up my truck on Saturday. I assumed they "had their act together". Decided to have a look around Tacoma World and find this. Not encouraging at all.

From what I've read, Krown does a good job of coverage, including confined spaces. I doubt adding Fluid Film (or Rust Cure Formula 3000) would hurt anything, but it also may not be necessary. Since a Krown application carries a warranty, I'd ask them before applying anything else. It's probably more important that you don't inadvertently wash the rust inhibitor off using a high pressure, heated car wash. Fluid Film specifically warns against that, and a Krown treatment will probably also be worn away with repeated pressure washing.

Whatever you choose, as long as you regularly inspect and re-apply a rust inhibitor as needed, I'll bet the truck will be fine. Of the 2nd gen rust threads I've seen, none of them had an example of a regularly treated frame experiencing heavy corrosion.

T-SB-0066-11 is about the clutch based on what I have read. However, I could not find the Toyota official information on this.
