I agree its a great box. Check for damage upon receipt. Mine came with a bent corner. The shipping box it came in had no apparent damage, so the defect was not detected. Not packed particularly well. And heed the re: rust!

Nice have a bigger storage area. I'm looking for a combination lock or some other replacement as I've enjoyed having a single object (electronic key) with me. If you agree, maybe take care of that before installation along with whatever rust prevention you choose.

I’ve read the inside console one is great.

But, the outside bed box leaves a rather large gap opening on the outside cover where someone could put a pry bay in and bust it off. This is what I read online, plus nearly $200 is a bit steep.

I’ve ordered the Mobtown locking bed cubby covers I’ll report back when I put them on.

I just went on Mobtown web page. Looks like a nice product. I might order the ones for the bed from them now. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, If you park outside and keep items in their unlocked it’s a matter of time before someone gets in there.

Just got mine today I’ll put them in tomorrow.

Thanks for mentioning that. I don't really need the security, but I am surprised I didn't notice if the Tuffy was less secure than stock. You've got me curious now so I'll check tomorrow......

As promised I just installed these
http://mobtownoffroad.com/product/storage-door/ on my lunch break and doing a write up. Keep in mind I own my business so my lunch breaks are often long and are liquid (don’t judge me).

Also, I’ll preface this by saying there’s no instructions, but we’re men, “we don’t need no stinking instructions.”

The two size bolts are standard, I mostly have metric but you’ll make it work. 1 1/16” and something between 8mm and 9mm.

The locks you’ll have to play around with and they only go one way. Don’t torque everything down too tight, you’ll may be messing with them for awhile.

As for the felt strips, don’t be dumb like me. Stick these to the back edges of the metal plates, not to the edges of the compartments on your bed. The backing glue is strong, measure twice or more, cut and stick once.

Everything else is pretty easy. I was amazed at how cheap the OEM plastic covers are. I’m throwing these on eBay to offeset the cost.

The thing I like most is they’re recessed in the compartments so it’s nearly impossible to pry them out. But, someone could just unscrew the TORX bolts and take the whole thing, so don’t keep your Snap On tools in there!

Not sure if pics are coming through, I’ll reply with pics

HHmm wonder if I could just use my current door as a guide...then cut and drill...I got some scrap metal...got me thinking...all I would have to buy is the locks and weather stripping.

LOL "Frankencover" I like it. It probably end up looking crazy...could be fun to try. Might try it when I get time...Worse case I waste some scrap metal and use the locks on couple old toolboxes I am restoring.
