sorry, I may have missed this or just not understanding. What are you cutting? The raptor shaft or the cv inners and outers?

How much difference is your upper control arm from stock? It looks way shorter than an LT upper control arm. It could be the angle of the pictures too though.

When you did the uniball on the tundra knuckle, did you shorten it the 1.5” difference to match the height of the tacoma knuckle?

Nothing has been cut or modified to make the CV axles work. RCV used a raptor +3 300M shaft with tundra outers and tacoma inners. For my application that was the correct length.

The upper arms are actually identical in length to my camburg arms. I don't have a final length on mine now but that's what I started with. Final is slightly longer.

It was about 1.5" removed. Not sure of the final difference; I just made sure all my parameters were met.

I did actually notice a decrease in steering radius as anticipated. Overall the steering feel is better than before which I contribute to the king pin angle. We'll see how the steering radius plays out when I hit the trails next.

Gotcha. I was just misunderstanding. How much caster are you running with the JDfab pivot.

I’ve been piecing all the tundra parts together and then found your thread. It’s answered a ton of my questions. Thank you!

I read an article in the SAE automotive magazine about Perry 3d printed bump stops. I appreciate the thought and testing they conducted. The damping curve they were able to generate was impressive. For the price and love of testing out something new, I figured I'd give them a shot for the front. I still question the longevity, but we'll see.

Yeah I've always been disappointed with the other bumpstops I've seen and I don't want to do hydro bumps. Why would I do that much work for a nonoptimal location.

This is very very rudimentary, but seeing how I can extend the shock tower up to maximize the up travel. I should be able to just reinforce the main structure, so I don't have to cut the entire tower off the frame.

Great build, very inspirational. Any details on how one would get that frame file?

If you’re gonna cut the top of the tower off you may as well build a mount for a standard eyelet mount. No point in doing all that work and still have to use a top hat.

I have thought about that. I need to take a closer look at the access to the bolt. If I can pull the bolt in an out easily by creating access holes, I'll go that route.

Wasn't satisfied, so went ahead and made some changes for Rev C. I also want to go powdercoat this time around. I'm thinking something a little more vibrant.

Well not sure about this. Might be a little too bold for me. Also decided against powdercoat.
