Hi Guys Joined a few weeks ago and already you helped alot. Have had my Tacoma since May of 05 and just recently bought a travel trailer to tow behind it. Saw on this forum the update to the suspension T.S.B. so I called my dealer. It was covered to 3/36. But with my extended warr 8/80 they covered it. Bill would have been 1929.00. The extended warr paid for it self this time.

Now to the heart of this thread. I got the universal Cipa towing mirrors and just don't care for them. So have been looking at other trucks to see what could be modified to give better use. The 98 to 2001 dodge had some tow mirrors that might work. The 97 to 2001 chevy also had some that might work. Then I saw a pair of Tundra 07 tow mirrors. Thought that might be the way to go.

Has anyone here tried to see if they would fit up to the Tacoma?

I think that moding these would be easier and would plug and play with my power mirror switch.

    Thanks for any replys

    vince

I have considered doing this but do not know anyone with a Tundra, and the dealer will not let me take Tundra apart to see if the mounting is the same (Not really surprised about that, but I did ask)

Please keep us informed about what you find out if you have any better luck finding the answers than I have thus far.

Has anyone tried yet to mount Tundra mirrors on their Tacoma? If so, what was the result?

Get these if you are just wanting bigger mirrors for towing.

There is not a group buy on them right now, but you can contact the poster in the link to buy a set. I have them and they are helpful.

I think tundra mirrors would look much cleaner than those. But obviously those are easier to mount since they are made to fit the taco.

Any chance that someone has tried the tundra mirrors on a taco? If not.... I may have to try tomorrow. Is anyone actually interested in results if I decide to do it?

I'm curious if they will fit. Please let us know if you try it.

Since there are others that are interested I'll go ahead and grab a pair and try them out. Will keep you all posted.
