I had a 2.5" on for a year and a half or so and always had that desire to go with a bigger lift. Recently did and couldnt be happier! best thing is looking down on F-150s and silverados lol. All up to personal preference tho. My motto is life is too short to drive boring trucks! But thats why I'm happily broke :p

Edit: and welcome to TW

lol! I agree!! People say don't spend too much.. I said HA! I have waited to get and build my truck for years! No point in doing it half ass. Are you sitting on 35s? I hear you have to do way more work for 6in and 35s but that was a shop saying that too. He said the difference in price is like 1000. I really don't know if I believe that either...

6" and 35's are for sure more expensive when compared to leveling and 285's. But I think It was worth every penny. An option if you want to save some $$ is to get Maxtrac 4"spindles and either (a.)stack it with a spacer or (b.) use it with a bigger pair of shocks (billies, icon, etc...). Most of the 6" kits from Pro comp and Fabtech and such are about $1500 for just parts, plus you have to cut the cross member (not sure if that's the right word) . But the way I went, i spent $1400 for the parts and installation. So I spent the money I saved on some amazing tires (Goodyear MT/R w/Kevlar). Check out my build thread for my setup if you'd like and feel free to ask any questions! But I'd for sure suggest going big if you think you'd like it. Because if you have a desire to go all out, you'll probably regret it once you get a smaller lift. I know I did haha. Here's a link to a thread with a ton of info on the setup I was referring too. Very cost effective and highly recommended.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/maxtrac-spindle-lift-for-2nd-gen-prerunners.203889/

And also if you do end up going this route, order from headstrong off road. Extremely nice and helpful people!

Oh my fault for not reading! Yeah you're SOL haha. But I'd still recommend going big if that's what you want. But in the end its your truck and you do what makes you happy! Even if it means being called a mall crawler lol

image.jpg Wasn't going to buy wheels just yet because I couldn't find some I liked butttt then I seen these and they pretty much match the color of my truck... I told them to take all my money. I can't wait to see what they are gonna look like on. Hopefully in the next two weeks he will be ready.

Welcome! Nice trucks! I too have a '12 and also an '87 that I can't seem to part with. It was mine from new and my first vehicle too. I get asked how much all the time and can't even seem to throw a figure out there, everyone wats it for nothing! Not gonna happen! Certainly don't want to part with my baby but starting to think maybe I should...at least until I hop in a take a ride, then all bets are off. LOL!!! So much fun to drive!
