ok, I’m about to get replacement valve cover and intake plenum gaskets (OEM). The guy mentioned 2 valve cover gaskets and 1 plenum...do I need 2 valve cover gaskets? I thought it was 1 of each.

Today I removed the brass jet from the bypass valve
I did the fpr mod as well.
Before these mods I had sporadic engine stumbles.
I have not had a engine stumble since but only time will tell.

soooooo, when I got to the stealership and the guy pulled the pic/part number screen up, and I saw the valve gaskets...I couldnt help but call myself a dumbass. And all the "..........."s you put are COMPLETELY warranted haha. I was being stupid and not thinking

OF COURSE THERE ARE 2!!!!! I had the plenum gasket stuck in my head when I was sayin and talking about the valve gaskets

Thanks. So is there somewhere on the Magnuson SC to check the oil level? All I've found is the coolant reservoir cap.

There it is, should be filled as much it starts drain over.

 

I took it out for a test drive today. Not too much different, but I did notice that boost comes on earlier around town if I jump on it, and on the highway boost comes on notably sooner. 8psi quickly, and 10 once it starts to wind up

 

Im going to sell my ucon. I might have a fresh ecu available as well. It will be available probably in a month or so

 

I took the jet out last night and drove it today. I think it feels way better. Boost comes on so much smoother and right away. And shifting seems way better also.

UCON, spark plugs, & gaskets have all arrived. Now I'm waiting on EBay to ship my ECU. I haven't been this excited about my truck since the day I dropped it off for the SC install.

 

I haven’t pulled the restrictor out yet. About to do that this afternoon.

So circling back around to something that was breifly discussed earlier in the thread....Those of you running a Mac notebook vs. a PC.

My 17” Dell was having problems with the battery not charging and I decided to jump back to the dark side. I picked up a 2017 MacBook Pro 13”. The one with no USB 2.0 ports. This one only has 4 USB-C ports.



So I picked up the Apple USB-C male to USB-A female adapter. Wasn’t sure if this would work with the UCON or not.



I loaded up Apple Bootcamp assistant and installed Windows 10 Pro on the Bootcamp partition. Long story short, it works!

 

I’m so glad not to deal with the Ucon anymore☺️
