I have this, stock suspension on 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

I ordered the truck from Checkered Flag.

I've also installed the Clazzios, triple black, probably my favorite mod so far.

As for a lift installers you can call All Pro, Pungo Offroad or Production Offroad and see what they can do for you.

I have 5100s and an AAL waiting to go on the truck later to maybe bump it an inch while maintaining the factory rake. I'm not interested in going beyond that

Most of the lifts I've seen beyond 3 inches involve Pro Comp drop brackets and either rear blocks or new leaf packs. Call those places and see what they can do for you.

Anything that high is likely going to have a negative effect on handling, ride, acceleration and done right will not be cheap. 1000.00 is a cheap +3 inch lift.

I completely agree that $1000 is way too cheap for a lift. If I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it right. I would expect a quality lift to cost around $2k-$2.5k. I am new to IFS though, so I could be off on that. I got in contact with Jason's truck repair. Thanks for the suggestions on other places. I don't think a 3" lift is going to negatively effect too much. I'm not trying to do a 6" drop bracket or anything

Most coilovers or springs max out at about 2.5 inches and to keep within alignment specs you'll need to replace the UCAs. Back end will require new leaf packs. You might also need to drop the diff to keep the driveline vibes down.

Not sure what it would take to get beyond 3" but the shop's can give you ideas.

For parts installations in the area I wouldn't go anywhere other than Eastern Offroad... They are a VERY professional shop, used paint pens to mark every bolt they installed... Included a full front end alignment when I had a set of billy 5100s installed, and got the alignment to better than factory specs. Much improved ride and handling over factory. Also have roadmaster active helper springs installed in the back. Overall much improved over factory ride, feels like it has coilovers all around at this point. Rear sits with about an inch of lift, and the front 5100s are set to stock height

Hey buddy, I don't know if you've done much research on here yet but you can get a lot of good information on lifts. I did research for months before lifting my 2013. I bought my truck from Priority in chesapeake too and trust me, do not get that spacer lift. It is a waste of money and will ruin how your truck rides. $1000 isn't necessarily too cheap for a lift, yes you can spend 2k+ on a really good one if that what your needs are, but I don't know how hard you go with your truck. I ended up going with bilstein 5100 shocks with OME 885 lift coils up front and 5100 shocks with deaver 2" AAL in the rear. This came out to $732.99 shipped to my door with strut assembly to make the front coilovers easy to bolt on. I noticed an immediate upgrade in the way my truck felt and handled, overall better than the stock suspension.

The place to go is headstrongoffroad.com free shipping and the cheapest prices over any other site. Feel free to email them with questions as well, Marie is very helpful and informative @HeadStrong Off-Road

    Here is a link http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p401/Coil/Bilstein_5100_Kit_(HS16BK-1).html

Just trying to help because I used to be in the same boat as you trying to find the best 3 inch lift. Also, I live in the area and work right by landstown commons at sentara princess anne hospital. Good luck buddy,

Are you running the 5100 shocks in the rear or the longer 5125? I though the max lift for 5100s was right at 2"

I'm running the 5100 in the rear with 2" AAL. I got 3" up front and 2" in the rear which leveled me out. This is mostly because I'm 2wd and have less weight. I usually don't have anything in the bed and drive mostly around the city.

Here's another link to a thread I started after I installed. It's for 2nd gen but should be very similar to 3rd gen setup.

Why do you think they are paying people to install coilovers and add a leafs? More money than sense it seems!

    Real welcoming.....

As for being a noob, I started driving Toyota trucks while most of you were jumping nut to nut in your father's beanbag. Five trucks and counting, 30 years continous.

I'll post where I see fit.

TBlack, thank you for your insight here! Definitely much appreciated. I have been doing research trying to find what lifting an IFS truck entails. I know I don't want the priority spacer lift at all, and I don't want to jump into a drop bracket kit. I like the stance you got out of yours, and I definitely like that price tag more than $2k. Id really like to see your truck in person. I live about 2min from the hospital. Dont freak if you see a guy in a blue taco staring at your truck in the parking lot haha

    We aren't???? LOL!

Well, your just the type of person the noobs need in the TideWater thread, your life experience and all... Five trucks in 30 years, that's cute.
There's several old 'Yota guys in there, myself included...

In all seriousness, there's a TON of expertise in that thread you're missing out on (regardless of the truck gen).

This entire discussion between Bryce and TBlack is why I'm brining up the TideWater thread... This work (a non DB lift... hell, even a DB lift) is ridiculously easy and no one should pay a shop to do it. More so is the knowledge in that thread, literally dozens of local guys who have been through all this before and installed it themselves or with help from others there.
EDIT: And they know what works and what doesn't, given your needs and budget.
