in Thai language, the term used for "perfect" in street talk is พอดี

    literally translated as "good enough".

i was there for some years as a technical guy and that was my nightmare. the guy on the plane over warned me! :boom:

Also. Has anyone had success with the Engine - Cruise Control Active Minimum Speed and being able to set it lower than 25mph / 40kph?

Not that I can see. The biggest thing here is that OVT made the Lambda 0.82 and 0.99 maps the same. I had not idea how to best proceed there without some help.

I am working on an edited tune, but will not be flashing it until I am done with this tank.

Okay... so at least I got verification from Matt that the "04B14+2.0+Rev+Hang+Clutch+Hang.vft" test tune is a modified 2.0 04B14 SuperFOB tune with some "behind the scenes" changes to try and address at least a piece of Rev Hang.

None of the tables involving the Rev Hang mods are available in vF Tuner (yet ). From what I remember, the real change was only addressing Rev Hang with the clutch pedal depressed. I tried to modify my driving style to utilize this better, but was not all that successful - old dog/new tricks and all. Not sure why, but I've become partial to this tune and have been using it as a starting point for vF Tuner customization.

I've mentioned before that I am interested in smoothing out the 2K-3K rpm transition, specifically in 4th gear. Now that I don't feel like I convinced my self that Stock was Awesome; I thought I'd give one more idea a go. Last night I looked to take some of the sharp edges off of the "Acceleration - Primary Throttle Torque Target" table. It was the only place where I could see big changes in the rpm range and at the accelerator angle I was concerned with. I only increased values to smooth things out. I'm not positive about the change yet, but results seem promising from my drive to work. Of course I washed the truck and vacuumed the carpet, so it automatically drives better.

After a bit more driving, I'll let folks know if I can tell if it really made a difference. It's tough with lots of parameters changing (temperature, traffic, seating position - I think I'm a click back after vacuuming), but we will see what the old butt dyno says after a few days. Maybe after it settles in; I'll even roll back to before the change just before reporting. I'm not real patient like that though. Unfortunately, I'm more of a hacker than a scientific method guy.

    Good luck!

Those are some subtle changes. The crease still cramps my brain.

Once I get the Air Load Control maps sorted, I am going to try editing this one again.

The main change was to move the bottom of the steep slope up the rpm range so I didn't "fall off the cliff" in the middle of the range I was worried about. It's actually less subtle than the chart shows but its hard to find an angle that shows it well.

That slope is crazy. Maybe after Matt's webinar we will know a little more about how it is being applied and it will make more sense. Then again, it's Toyota.

vvv Here's my table if you care vvv

Thanks for the map! I appreciate it.

Yes. It is wild. Discontinuities like that have to affect our driveability.

Ive made some seriously messed up tunes the last couple days. I've been making some extrene changes to try and figure out how some of this falls together.

Been a fun learning experience. This mornings drive was horrific, entertaining, but definitely going in the trash bin.

I noticed Matt said in the next update the mt was getting some new maps.

Back when we had the bad Beta (15500?) that had a dead pedal, I loaded it just to find out what that felt like. It sucked but wasn't too bad on a warm motor. Downright scary on a cold start.

Definite learning experience with the info on what others were dealing with.

Yes! I am looking forward to what those new maps are.

I found this morning that "relative throttle position" Is not for the pedal. In fact i don't think ov tunes logger has that one.

Kind of explains why I'm getting mixed results.

I backed out of my driveway today without using the throttle pedal and pulled away without touching the pedal. In both instances the relative throttle pid showed input.

For the record I'm trying to log where i put my foot in normal circumstances so i know which areas i need to fine tune. I'm thinking I'm looking to low in the pedal and am actually pushing it further than i think i am.

Yes! I thought I was just grazing it, but the range I use is higher than expected.
