I have a 2005 TRD 4x4 d cab. I have about a 3 inch lift. Moto Metal rims 17 inch. I have tried shims in the rear, carrier bearing shims and front diff. drop, Any info on this problem would be of great help, and I have read a lot of threads on vibtations on the Tacoma.

Could be your tires need to be balanced or aligned...

    Or a U-joint is bad

beefed taco makes some pretty good products...they are beefy and as far as i know he is the only vendor that makes a carrier bearing drop thats solid and doesnt use washers but that is also a quick fix. im pretty sure hes fixed quite a few tundras and a couple 1st gens with it. hopefully he'll fab up some for the 2nd genners

Ok I installed the carrier bearing drop made by streettaco and it worked, I now have no more take off vibs. Install was easy only took 15 minutes. If you have this kind of problem give it a try.
