    I've done a mod or two
    It's because the I4 is a world motor, used in lots of Toyota's and represents their brand more than the only US used V6

    Yes, it’s a world motor, I just don’t know why it was built over there and shipped instead of built here.

    ^Toyota's product planners back in 2003 probably figured they'd sell more vehicles with the 2TR in Asia Pacific than in North America.

    Looks like the repair is just sending a company-trained welding tech to the dealer to manually weld the the bracket to the frame: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2018/RCRIT-18V675-4839.pdf

    The lug nut torque is rather high - 130 ft-lb.
    The track bar uses a torque-to-yield bolt at the frame (74 ft-lb then 30 deg), so the bolt is not re-usable.
