I have a 2014 Tacoma 4.0L and I want to put an exhaust on it that is deep sounding and not very loud. And definitely don’t want it to sound like a bumblebee!! Any help is appreciated thanks!!

hTRD cat back is the way to go!! They spend millions of dollars designing what works for that truck, cant go wrong..
If you plan on just changing muffler, and you decide with flow- master,go with a 60 series if you have a V6..The delta 40 are ok,I feel I just don't get the right back pressure on flow masters, there good for V8's.
Check out Gibson, magna flow,.Also I think Banks Power makes a kit for that year, whatever you do ,do it right because exhaust can be a headache. And $$$ real quick if you have to keep fixing things..
    good luck !!

i just replaced the muffler with flowmaster 44 series and it sounds tits! no need to waste $700 on a exhasut system. as long as your exhaust pipe isnt rusted, buy the muffler for $60, and slap that bitch on. sound mean on a cold start, and it crackles when coasting downhill. i love it

He has a 2nd gen which responds a bit differently to exhaust changes than 3rd gens.

@Tacoma4life14 , sound is in the ear of the beholder of course. But I agree with the TRD choice, even though it's pricey if you buy it new. You *may* be able to find a take off from someone who is moving to duals, some other product, etc etc.

Another option is to cut your tailpipe to make the axle dump mod. It will change the sound a bit. But these v6's will never sound good like a healthy v8, no matter what magic muffler you try.

I'd suggest finding some locals who have different exhausts and get some ride alongs before making your decision. Online recordings are not the same as *live*.

My bad i should of mentioned that i did the 44 series on both my 2nd gen and 3rd gen. It actually sounds better on the 2nd gen for some reason, the exhaust pops a lot more, and you're absolutely right about online exhaust videos, i tried recording mine earlier and it sounds completely different on video
