He's referring to the oh-shit grab handle on the passenger side that rubs against the dash causing a rattle. Usually happens when its really cold outside.

I honestly think most new vehicle buyers gat home and hate something about their new purchase. I've had mine only a month and 3 days. There are many, many complaints BUT many, many likes as well. I haven't had any of the issues listed so far but it's only been a month. My biggest issue is have to step on the gas pedal to get moving. The truck has power but not the transmission shifting causes a big difference than what most of us are used to. Maybe not so much with manual trans. To me, it just seems like you've got to have high RPM's or it will seem like a dog. So far that's my only and biggest complaint. But there are some aftermarket products, Shift Sense that help with this issue. It's a Toyota, should last forever right?

Your truck will probably be fine. This sub-forum is not so fine though...

Reading the constant whining of problems people group together making you think you will have endless problems.
Like the lines are out the dealership service lines ? Not quite.
Any vehicle that sells hundreds of thousands is going to have units with some issues.

    Sport hood, and Manual transmission.

    Sport hood.
    Sport hood.

OP if your that concerned, ask for your deposit back and I bet the dealership will sell that truck quick, it's a Manual and sport.

Are you wanting to dislike the new truck you just bought? Drive it and enjoy it. If there are any issues, tell present themselves.

The only thing you will hate about your truck is whenever you start to love your truck someone on here will shit on your parade.

Usually people go on TW and complain after they have the truck...I forgot who coined this term, but it went something like this: "I really loved my truck until I found Tacoma World". Go out a drive it. Some things that bother people don't bother others.

It's no secret that current models across all brands are using lighter/thinner pieces of steel. Some are going to aluminum ...

Sounds like a GREAT choice. (Especially the Manual Transmission). I hope you enjoy it!

You're not gonna like all the negativity you're going to get on here. I would suggest you tread lightly here and you'll enjoy you're truck more.

Not that some people haven't had real issues. There is always going to be a few bad ones from every manufacture. For all the people bitching here, there are several times the people that enjoy them. Hopefully you will enjoy yours too!

    Cheers!

I don't like that only limiteds have the homelink built in and no auto down for the rear windows. That's about it.
