Took me all weekend to model and then a couple days to print this obd2 scanner case. I'm happy with it.

It don't look like much, but it's a step in learnin somethin today. :burp:

I bought the wrong size steering servo for not one but two RC car builds, because of course I freaking did. Rather than eat my mistake, and rather than download an online template, I'm going to take the opportunity to knock one up in Autodesk from scratch.

Ol' Rock Lobster is back in elementary, learning his shapes.

I have not, when making my things I use a lot of measurements and reference to get things to fit how I'd like and since I don't own a 2nd gen sadly I can't make much of anything for them. Unless someone wants to donate me a 2nd gen

Anyone have some good ideas on how to post process a 3D print? I'm getting into it and want to know how to get rid of the ridges the best way I can. I've looked around but not found a great solution yet.

Depends on material. What are you printing with?

Maybe demand is low or something, if you find a model or anything to print I don't mind helping getting it made.

I’ve got an Elegoo Neptune Pro 3. It’s my first printer. I’ve mainly been learning with PLA but want to get into PETG. Anything good to post process with PLA?

Look up pla acetone bath. I've never done it, but lots of people have used it. PETG, unfortunately, has no easy post processing because it's chemically resistant.

It took some trial and error, but the adapter bracket came out pretty bitchin' if I do say so myself. :cookiemonster:

It just makes the cheap servo look a little, uh, hellraiser-ish.

Hobby Lobby had some of their Bandai kits on sale, including some of their Star Wars kits. I grabbed 3 of the 1/550th scale AT-M6s seen at the Battle of Crait from The Last Jedi.
In "real" life they are enormous; at 130' long and 120' tall, but in 1/550th scale they are pretty small

I managed to find a file I could turn into an .stl for printing of the matching "Ski Speeder" from TBOC, and shrunk it down to 1/550th scale as well.

At that scale the Speeders are super small, barely being able to see their ski, and nearly not being able to pick them up.
Here is one next to a Dr. Pepper can, and one being held by the center ski. You can make out the cockpit as well as some wing detail.

I plan on incorporating all this into a small diorama

I could probably make something similar. It would take some time to model though. It looks like people are cutting open the back side because there's not enough room for the switches? I wonder why it wasn't designed to protrude a little bit more so they wouldn't need to cut up the console.? Asthetics?
