Added stars to my headliner. Easy but time consuming and totally worth it

Clearly a product for the first world. 7% discount code PL7P. It worked 8/2022 :anonymous:

Solves one of my “big” complaints with the Tacoma. The door locks are not illuminated.

Can it be installed without removing the door panel? Looks like there is enough slack in the wire to.

One of you who just ordered needs to try and let us know!

I was able to without removing the panel. Took less than 5 minutes.

    Just some stuff...
Anybody know what the difference in the door switch panels between the later model second gens and first? Wondering why these won't fit an earlier model.

The locks and window lock is a little different. It looks like the same shape for the surround so if you buy a 2.5 gen piece for that then I bet it would plug right in.
I ran out to double check mine because this just got added to the list.

Only a little extra for a 2.0 gen to do this.

I think the switches are different entirely but we would need someone to confirm it. I was thinking the same thing. You can convert it to the newer 2nd gen with some wiring changes. I noted that I can find the link someone else post on TW before.

Not at this time. I chatted with them a few days back. They only have the double cat for 12-15 but are looking into suitable matches. If the front switches are the same you may be able to get single switches and pop them out and swap them like the passenger side.

if anyone local to san mateo has an older 2nd gen I have an extra switch we can try out to see if it can be swapped or not. If so we can ask them to offer switch replacements rather then the entire panel.

I think it would be worth asking if they still offer a manual up version or plan to resume making them. I like the auto down feature for all windows but would prefer to retain the manual up *only* feature for all windows. Considering none of the windows have pinch sensors on them. Everything else about these switches is a win but I’m still not in because of that.

    *….*edited for clarification

So are these switches all the way down or all the way up only? If you want to lower the window down an inch, can you stop it there by pulling back up on the switch?
