That’s amazing! Hey I see you have one of those open racks with all the stuff attached to it. I’ve always wondered what guys are hauling around on those! For starters, what’s in the bag on top? And do just always leave it up there?

Looks like an awning next to an RTT.

For now it’s all living on the truck cause we just moved. The Leitner bed rack has a CVT rooftop tent and the bag is a 270° awning. On one side of the rack is a box that we use for pantry etc and a water container. On the other side of the rack is a custom made mount for maxtrax and pelican gun case I had that holds all of my recovery gear, spare CV axle. In the bed is a decked drawer system with kitchen stuff and other misc.

We do a mix of low end hard rated off-roading (Moab, Colorado, elsewhere Utah) and long winded mild dirt (like 200 miles of easy and medium trails in a weekend). Something like 1500 miles of dirt a year and camping 25+ nights a year.

But since we moved to northern Wyoming, likely the tent, awning, and some of the crap in the bed rack and drawers will come out in the winter. Luckily I literally walk to work right now so it doesn’t matter if the truck is loaded down cause gas mileage doesn’t matter.

    (cat for scale  )

That's a wonderful guard animal in the bed there. I wouldn't approach your truck with that vicious attack cat in the bed!

what's the details on this, is it a kit? I'll never do this, but I'm a nerd that likes learning about these things.

Thank you for the rundown! That’s a pretty awesome use of the truck. The last shot shows a house, it kind of looks like it might be one of the straw bale houses.

Replaced battery (flooded lead-acid 27F, dated 4/2018) with X2 Power 27F AGM last week (thanks to @crashburn80 for the education), and finally put in the HKB fixed voltage booster today (monitoring with BM2 bluetooth monitor). All is good so far. Curious to see how much the headlights get a boost from the adapter.

While I built it myself, credit to Torspd for the basis of the idea. He posted on this thread sometime ago. I just took it in my own direction. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/engine-oil-cooler.546267/

if you want more info on the set up I am happy to share.

I had my bumper replaced after a minor accident. The new bumper the shop put on did not have the predrilled holes. I'm running the no-drill license plate brackets from @ACEkraut so I told them to not drill out the new bumper.

Got an alignment today. Wasn’t off by much but what a difference in the way it drives.

I would assume so since that’s where ACEktraut’s brackets go.

I replaced the draincock on my compressor tank and upgraded the valve head to a clamp on for easier air ups. I also replaced the Dometic fridge plug in with a regular 12V, so now I am running two 12V in the cab, as I sold my dometic a couple years ago.

Yesterday I ordered a Super Pacific Camper in blue with a tan tent and the new Truma Varioheat propane heating system they are now offering on their builds. It's gonna be siiick.
