No experience with this product but the a quick glance at the website seems like it'll work fine, honestly if you've already got a tune it should be fairly easy for a tuner to just adjust this. Granted I have no idea the tuner would charge you.

I'll send the tuner a message. From what I've seen so far, the ECU controls the voltage output in 3rd Gens and newer whereas older models do not. If that's the case, then an adjustment of the tune might not work. I'll update here what I find out.

While underneath my 2006 last month, doing some fluid film application, I noticed that my rear bumper support was looking pretty rough. So i ordered a new one from Toyota and installed it today. From the looks of it, I caught it just in time!

3 coats of Duplicolor color match paint and 3 coats of their clear. It came from Toyota already primed so I just had to degrease it, scuff and paint. It's a metallic color so it's the slightest bit blotchy if you look at it in the right light but I'm happy with it.

Couple of months ago I replaced both lca on the taco. Got it aligned and thought it was good. Yesterday I got under the truck to do a visual inspection and noticed that grease had been pushed out by the lbj. I inspect the lbj and noticed that tape was covering a small opening where the grease was coming out from. It appears to be where a zerk fitting should go so I look for some in the packaging it came from and of course there they were in a small bag I missed to notice. I continue to try and just twist them on , simple right? Wrong! Having limited space between the lca lbj and the cv shaft it took me a few minutes to actually be able to get the zerk lined up with thread with just my fingers. Using an 8mm open end wrench was going smooth until...yup you guessed it snap!! Fml I over tightened and now I have to find a way to get the broken thread part out and then regrease the lbj before I lose a wheel while driving.

A little flathead screwdriver jammed into the threaded shank would help you spin it back out, but you'd have to wedge it and that means taking the whole thing off to get at it. Bummer man.

Thanks! Going to replace mine and wondered if I should leave it black or paint it. I bought the duplicolor paint and clear too, so going to go ahead and paint it.

I also broke down and bought the Duplicolor prep spray but probably not a necessity. I also scuffed with 1200 grit just enough to dull the primer.

I was going to use self etching primer and then paint it. Thought that would be easier than sanding it.

My 2nd gen is no longer my daily. I decided that I would drive it more if it had Apple Car Play. So out with head unit #3 and in with #4.

The extra primer certainly can't hurt. Like I said I chose to paint right over the factory stuff, mostly because i couldnt find any Duplicolor primer locally and did lnt want to mix brands. Also i was impatient. Figure it's not a $100k hotrod.

Finally got a chance to look at the pics I took. Not sure how well this actually shows up on the cell phone camera. These are both highbeams.

Bilstein 5100's on all four corners with 2884 coils in the front and Icon add-a-leaf in the rear. Front should sit about 2" higher and the rear 1.5". Haven't taken any measurements but it looks pretty darned good!
Also did a brake job, replacing pads, rotors, dust shields, and calipers (because why not).
This wasn't all "today", I split the work over a few weeks when I actually had time to get around to it.

Fall/Pre-Winter spray wax. I did paste wax in the spring. And hit the Tonneau Cover and everything else with 303. The 2X per year waxing keeps everything beading nicely year round.

Took my 2015 foe the annual PA state inspection. In and out in just under an hour. Pulled the rear cubbies out of the 2014 so I could start trimming them and mounting stereo goodies. Mimicking the system in my 2015. Fosgate 8inch powered sub, 4 x 75 watt amp and line out converter. Everything fits in the passenger side cubby. Going to try and run the wiring a little neater. Here's the 2015 setup20241019_175755.jpg
In between doing this I repainted the grill surround for the 2015. Trying Krylon Fusion this time. 3 color and 3 clearcoats.
Last but not least I pulled the rear bumper and hitch from the 201520241019_173759.jpg
Cutting the fenders tomorrow and getting everything cleaned up. The Brute Force Fab high clearance bumper that's been in the garage for 3 years FINALLY goes on next weekend.
