What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Did you have to make a stink about the wheels before they decided to replace them? And please, pics of the Yaris on a trail wheeling!

I thought it was a little intense to order on-line, so I actually just called them. They're VERY helpful and know all the right questions to ask. They actually called me later to make sure they were sewing them the exact color combo I wanted.

 

Got a new Duralast Gold battery put on today.

 

taco abs kicked in going around a roundabout. wasnt losing traction and out of nowhere the fucker almost sent me into the wall. i know its annoying in dirt but common......

 

More likely that the VSC engaged .

When this happens there is a pulse in the pedals that feels like ABS engaging .

Have you had the skid control ecu reset after lifting ?

 

None at all .

This is a common issue in these parts , maybe the salt air near the coast , I don't know , but they didn't even inspect the old ones before agreeing to bring in 4 new wheels for me for my service appointment . Seems like a common thing here .

The "get ready for winter" waxing.

Installed the camera/mirror. Funky, little, distorted picture, but pretty helpful.
Still getting use to it.

 

Had these for about a month now, just got around to taking a pic. Representing!

 

Changed oil

 

Installed LJ24's replacement LED dome lights inside the cabin. WOW!!! These things are amazing and took me a total of 15 minutes to have them up and going. Really lights up the cabin! Fantastic and highly recommended mod. Also received them very quickly after ordering.

Installed my aFepower magnum flow oer air filter.

Also installed my new Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust system. Incredible sounding. Love it. Took a whole 45-60 minutes to remove and replace the old exhaust (I did go under and pre-lube all the rubber gaskets as recommended by members here the night before) and that was with absolutely zero experience ever doing this.

I was not expecting any real power gain at all. Am hoping for maybe a little mpg boost before I add another 100# to the truck with a new 3 hoop bumper however. I will say though that I immediately have noticed an easily recognizable boost when accelerating in the 60-80mph range. Almost effortless feeling. Not sure if this is just me imagining things or if actual, but seems very noticeable to me.

 

got a new air freshener.

 

Now do the map light mod!! 10X brighter when unlocking/opening doors.
