Paid $550 for a regular cab shell with windoors, only thing I miss is my sliding rear window!

I’m pretty happy with it except the locks are frozen on me every morning so far. Can’t get to my tools/ can’t load my tools. So far it’s hurting more than helping

Man that’s a bummer. Did you read the thread from other guy on here who got his Leer in like 3 weeks and the cap was a total disaster? I can’t remember who it was now.

Glad it’s not a year round problem for you at least.

I had the same problem, use a Mountain Bike inner tube or one of the clear vinyl doughnuts they sell to gasket the topper window to the cab, then blast heat back there! I sealed major air leaks with foam gasket tape around the tailgate, etc. Also makes for a more pooch-friendly riding space year round.

On the west coast here you can find a used one on Craigslist for around 1500_2000 ...I wouldn't recommend buying a new one and have wait time ...

Not really. It’ll be too tall, and the tailgate is totally different.

Nothing that 5 mins with a $30 HeatGun from Harbor (or ur choice) wouldn't fix i'd think. Be sure it's on low though and not too close. It comes with a cpl accessory tips - one that is round and if you hold it around the lock with welders mitts or thick towel it may help to isolate the lock so as not to heat the paint on handle. Maybe use a metal coat hanger cut so it's just a stick, then heat it & slide it in so the gun would be sideways. Not sure... just thoughts to try and help

These wait times and prices are looking intense! I bought a new Hi-Liner Snugtop a little over a year ago for $2.9k and since my last truck was totaled and I upgraded to 3rd Gen, have to do the whole rigamarole again. I can't really re-do my truck build without a canopy, which really cramps my summer plans, but since it's Cavalry Blue and a 6' bed, finding a cap seems like a real challenge. Are people seeing delays for the less common colors?

Originally paid $2900 CAD out the door for a Cap-It Bulldog high rise cap about 2-3 years ago. Huge quality issues, poorly made, fibreglass looks like a 4 year old in Kindergarten took too much control over the crafts table. They ground it down SO much to actually fit my truck which makes me wonder how long it took to design the cap... 15 minutes of measuring and an MS paint drawing? 1" holes in the cab corners and a 2" bowing in the middle of the cap fibreglass edge on either side.

Three years later I got frustrated with it. Gave the dealer a call, he said come on in any time, took some photos and immediately got to work. Put in claims and emailed numerous times to try to get it resolved or a replacement secured and was ghosted by the manufacturer. I called him for an update now two months later because I'm by no means in a rush, as long as it arrives before October and the subsequent winter drive through one of the most treacherous mountain passes in BC, but why not get an update especially if I'm heading down in a month or so?

Turns out he ordered me a Leer 180 instead because he was ignored by one of his own brand reps. Holy sh!t! Talk about customer service! Should even be ready by the time I'm down there.

I ordered an ARE CX cap for my 2020 DCSB truck on March 17th. It was delivered to the dealer on July 7th. The total cost with installation was $3,480. It has windoors and a tilitdown sliding front window. The interior is carpeted with dual rope lights and prop switches for each indoor with dome light. The roof has tracs for my Yakima HD bars. I carry whitewater canoes and kayaks on my rack bars.05E1C589-E109-43F5-8F31-425D3E08CC8A.jpg
