I didn't get the maintenance history for my truck when I bought it, but I can tell you from experience, when it starts making noise, it gets progressively worse real fast. Mine went from no noise to dangerously loose in about 70 miles.

    Purchase a set November 2018.
Finally installed on my 06 prerunner with 191K on the originals and it was so easy.
I just read and watched a few video's.
Thanks 05Taco4x4 for the quality product.

Got started on the hub bearing install over the weekend both my spindle dust shield and outboard cv dust shield were toast on each side. I was able to get the spindle side off and replaced but does anyone have a good solution to remove the old cv side dust shield? I was tired and stopped but I was just going to try to tap off with a chisel wedge tap?!?!?! I found these threads here that give a lil bit of help post #5 here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/wheel-bearing-help.459566/ and this one helps with installing the new seal https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/wheel-bearing-seal-and-cv-dust-seal-install-tip.460019/

But does anyone know any good strategies to get the old outboard cv side seal off?

I recently removed one from a 4runner axle. I took a centering punch and a hammer and just worked my way around to get it off.

Awesome thank you! Did you place the punch on the back of the metal ring or in between the metal ring and the rubber seal?

Got all 4 seals replaced and everything put back together no problems. Knocking out the outboard cv seal with a punch worked like a charm. Man the rig rolls so much smoother/ silent now, I always thought it was my MT tires that gave off so much noise but I guess it was my failing driver side bearing haha.

Thanks again @05Taco4x4 for answering all my questions and the smooth transaction, quick turnaround!
