I saw my trucks twin on the highway, pulled up next to it... They finally look over. Nice truck I say, and gave them a thumbs up.
Took them a few seconds to realize the matching trucks. Lol

I tried it a couple of times years ago. Got nothing. Felt like an idiot.

Hell....I have several coworkers with Tacomas and most, if not all, have never even heard of Tacoma World....much less feel any kind of kinship with one another.

I think around here we tend to think of ourselves as the backbone and majority of the Tacoma community. In reality....TW represent a tiny fraction of the total number of Taco owners out there. The vast majority of owners only see their rigs as an appliance and wouldn't dream of hanging out on a forum talking about an appliance.

    Waving is futile

You must be well aware of the "wave" up on the northern Maine forest/logging road system. Just a slight lifting of the hand from the steering wheel.

Or a slight head nod if the hand is occupied with a "road soda". :D

    Vehicle make/model agnostic.

My family is from the Bangor, Ellsworth, Millinocket area. Everyone waves up there. You're weird if you don't.

My town is pretty much the same way. The only folks I don't wave to are the 20-30yr old chicks driving jacked up diesels. Clearly there's a lot going on there, it's high risk, and I'm just not putting myself into that kind of situation.

In my state you're more likely to see waving in the more rural/small town areas....though it's got nothing to do with what you're driving. Just friendly waving.

But here in the city....no...doesn't really happen. Neighbors, maybe. But never strangers

They're only strangers if you don't wave o_O.....

OK I guess they're still strangers after.

I wave at every Taco I see. Even the guys that work for Orkin. Only some wave back though.

The "200,000 miles on iridium plugs" has been getting a lot of action too haha
