I have a 2000 Tacoma extra cab and I was thinking about putting two pioneer preloaded shallow mount subs under both driver and passenger seats. I was wondering if this would fit and if any one has done some like this before or if you have any other suggestions.(Shallow mount because I don't want to take up the back seats)

Heres a link to the subwoofer: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JQTU3QC/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1SX1R00E2EUMR

I don't think it would fit they make a backpack for the back seat it goes in the middle. Look into it

No they won't fit... I have two 8" Alpine type R's in the factory ported boxes, laying on the rear shelf... they work well... I'll get a pic when I get off work...

i was contemplating about the pioneers as well but decided to run the kicker hs8 under my passenger seat in my 98 xtracab. It fits perfect with plenty of clearance. Its a 150 watts rms and has just the right amount of bass. You don't have to hook it up to RCA's on the back of the HU you can tap in to door speaker wire. (You can hook it up to RCA with adapter) IMO its perfect for the xtracab. Two would be over kill for me at least.

    My setup:
Sony Xplode GT700 HD head unit
    Front - 6 1/2 Alpine SPS 610C components
    Rear - 5 1/4 Pioneer TS-G1345R (soon going to Alpine SPS 610C)
    Kicker HS8 Subwoofer

Those should also fit behind the seat as well and provides allot of flexibility

You might just have to go with something custom made using the same driver.

The shok triton 10s are just under 6 inches of mounting depth so really, its pretty shallow for a non Shallow mount type sub.
