It is solid for sure! Well built and I have no doubts it can easily hold the advertised 200 lbs and more. Wish I would have purchased one a long time ago.

ross123, I will have to look for the receipt but I think it was around 100.00 possibly 200.00.

As far sturdy, I have seen tons of pics with guys standing on the racks. I figure it can handle about 400 lbs realistically depending on how high the stuff is stacked (wind issue) but Baja Racks says 200 lbs.

I love all the pictures. Thanks for taking the time to photograph the racks. That's the first close up I've seen of the shark fin cutout. Looks good!

I just ordered the bajarack flat utility rack and will be picking it up later this month. I'm very excited about it and will post pictures when I get it mounted up.

For anyone that is interested in purchasing a BajaRack, there is a group buy going on now in this thread here:

I do not think it is dented. It looks way worse in the picture than it actually is. I think its the rubber gasket under the racket pushing down on the roof. It should pop back out once removed. This is the only one that is doing this. I will look at it closer this weekend. possibly pull it off and see if its permanent. I will let you know; however, from my perspective, I do not care if it is because I do not plan on selling this truck and will keep the rack on it.

Please do. I have the flat version of this rack on order, and I've never heard of any issues so far, so you may be the first. Keep us posted!

Mine has never dented the roof skin even after hauling loads.

I have sent an email w/ link to this thread to the engineers. Might be an install issue, mount issue, or even a roof issue. I'll get it sorted out for you guys we'll figure this out ASAP, Cris

I actually like the Baja rack that uses the factory rack. The other one doesn't look right.

    Hello Guys,

We just sawthe pictures and we will evaluate with engineering the solution, the problem isthat the bolts are too tight and the brackets are pressing on the roof of thevehicle but regardless next week we will post the solution and if we need toship new brackets we will do so.

    Kindregards
