2013 Grill Acquisition

So I have been looking into getting a new grill for my TRD-OR and what i wanna see before i go with the GrillCraft, is to see if anyone has basically taken the stock access cab (all black) grill and put it on a TRD OR or Sport.

Like having the bumper and all the trim white like a TRD but having the whole grill black, maybe if someone plastidipped it that way.

So you know where I'm going with it, is i have already gotten rid of the OR chrome rear bumper for a white one, then im going to smoke my headlights and fog lights to darken them and get rid of the chrome, and im getting my black rims with white bead locks soon, so i wanna eliminate all the chrome on my truck, which all that would be left is the grill.

 

Also want to know about headlights, I have 55W headlights and dont think tinting them would be the smartest idea, so has 2013 come out with headlights that fit?

 

Do the BHLM don't do after market for head lights.

 

A lot of people have black plasti dipped their grills.

I looked it up and I remember wanting to do that, but then I realized I live in a town with rain and snow all the time and I read having a bunch of moisture issues, and with 55w head lights it'd make that moisture worse

 

As long as you are careful and don't rush the process too much you shouldn't have any moisture issues. Putting brand new headlights in the oven is fun.

 

The more expensive option would be to buy an extra set of lights and do the BHLM to them and save your OEMs

Decisions, decisions. Give it some time and do plenty of research and make your call. IMO the BHLM or MGMHLM in my case was well worth it.

Grille is easy. Buy a new one and sell yours, or color match with Duplicolor Perfect Match, or derp it.

A lot of aftermarket headlights have issues with moisture and clouding. Not to mention a shitty light output due to poor reflector designs.

 

Okay, I think I'll find a local dealer that will do that for me, they look super nice
