@blake68 the rails attached to my shell were angled toward the outside of the truck. That made installing the top rack tough and I didn’t want washers filling the space. So swapping the rails made installing the top rack flat easier.

Just installed the rack and threw a Yakima Skybox 12 on top to see fitment. I can slide back another 4 inchs I think. Will hold my skis.

Just installed mine last night. 42.5” center to center

EDIT: mine is a Toprac if that matters

Sorry EDIT #2 I really misread your post. The tracks on my ARE V series were exactly 42.5” apart. All the way front to back. I got lucky as that is all the further the toprac feet would go.

How are you liking that shell? Thinking of getting myself the same one and throwing a prinsu rack on it as well.

About as much shorter as an Access Cab is than a double cab? They go the length of each roof and are not interchangeable. AccessRac requires drilling into an access cab, double cab rack does not

OLD thread, and I haven't read much further, but although your RACK can withstand 550#, it's the FIBERGLASS topper that it is mounted to might where the weight might be troublesome!

Yeah, that post is from 4 years ago and @zscott sold the company to CBI about 2 years ago. Plenty of people have put these racks to the test since then.

Does anyone know if the Toprac is compatible with Rhino Tracks? They are wider on the inside of the track according to the dealer.

I find it very useful to hold alot of gear and able to lock it up. After owning it for nearly two years, I have only one issue. I wish I would have left one window without mesh and the pet plastic guards as my lab likes to stick his head out windows. I know I can cut or remove the screen, but at this point, I paid for it, so I am leaving it installed for the time being. I think I paid $1900 or so with options.

Speaking of options, I would avoid the measly LED light they can install and wire to the battery in lieu of led strips which run the length of the bed. Your body casts a shadow from the LED dome light whenever your grabbing something at night.

When removing the Prinsu rack, how does one go back to sealing the mounting holes on the roof and is it difficult to seal. I'm going to order new roof gaskets. I know when I installed the rack, there was just a heavy tape over the holes. I would like to put it back as near as it was.

Finally received my toprac. It took 8 days from when I placed the order to get it at the door. It took about an hour and a half from beginning to end. A lot of the time was guessing where everything goes. I wish they included a quick instruction page to take guessing out. It wasn’t too bad though. I ordered mine on truck brigade because they have free shipping and it’s the exact same price as prinsu website.

A few mods here and there and counting....
    1. I used a 3/4in hole punch and it went clean through along w the metal strip. Easy stuff with a bfh.
    2. I have that same lightbar and it fits quite well but i had to order the heretic mounts from CBI. The lightbar came with two sets of mounts and it wouldn't work with how i like it.

For the record, i have a similar rack made by Martin off road. Just thought i share my experiences with the installation & accessories.
