Looks great man! Was there any fitment issues? Do you have a tutorial for reference? Part Numbers? Would really like these on my truck. Thanks

Thanks man. I’m digging how it looks too. The filament isn’t lined up at all. You have to drill new holes and grind them to fit. You also have to hammer it in a bit. And you have to trim the mirror plate where it bolts in. It’s a lot of work but if you aren’t afraid to hack into metal then it just takes time. Also if this makes you feel any better the original 2nd gen mirror will fit back on if you decide to stop mid way through. This thread helped me out a ton. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-mirrors-on-a-2nd-gen.544814/page-2

the op in that thread helped me a lot to and I can share some pictures he showed me if you want.

I used a dremel. It uses small bits to grind the metal for the studs on the mirror to fit. And it was useful for bringing off the plastic on the mirror. 4F53F773-B0AF-43FB-A725-911ECED84285.jpg

Oh for got to mention that I got used oem 3rd gen mirrors from a local member. So if you get aftermarket mirror the puddle pods won’t fit on there I think they have to be epoxied on or something. One member has done it @20tacoma17. Not sure if the turn signals will fit either on an aftermarket mirror but I think they will.

I was/am considering the 4Runner Heated mirror w/ puddle lights but they don't look as aggressive as the Turd Gen mirrors

2nd Gen Taco 4Runner Heated, Turn Signal, Approach lighting! & Power Fold? YES! (WIP)

The only thing I did to it was replace the bulb in the hazard switch to an LED.
I also did some research on part numbers and wiring diagrams.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Puddle pods will fit aftermarket mirrors but there is a small gap. You just need to fill it with rtv black which will also hold it in place. You barely notice and its underneath. The turn signal fit perfectly.
