I suppose that's NEC-compliant (at least I can't immediately think of a reason it's not), but it's really, really BAD practice. It's fine to put light loads (lighting, wall outlets) on a sub, but large loads (electric range, electric hot water, electric dryer, welder, electric heat, etc) should always be terminated in the main service panel. When I installed the sub I needed for my heat pump, I moved all my lighting and outlets to the sub, and put the heavy loads on the main.

I tend to forget things all the large current loads Have fused disconnects at the machines.

Why would it be a bad practice ?? Some of the sparky`s from the Mill wright crew helped one Holiday weekend wire every thing up.

I know a few home shops wired along the same lines in every case the electric Company would not allow us 400 amp services it was there guy that suggested doing it this way when I was asking about buying the place and my options

Been like this for over 20 years .I would hate to change it buying a 1000' of

Since I was never home it was just easier this way turn off 3 breakers everything is off of any importance

After my diet Dr pepper break this afternoon, I went back in the shop and set that lathe up properly. I didn't take my phone back in with me then but I'll get a couple of pictures what it looks like now. Cooking with fire now!! At least I had enough smarts to change it up I guess:bananadead:
I had to vote smoke turkey because my Uncle Jim used to do them and pretty awesome.

I remember those old calculators. Got me wondering if in 1973, a hundred dollars might have been more than a weeks paycheck

When I was young ( 6/8 )I never understand Why people down South declared State Emergencies for a little snow .

They just don`t have the equipment to deal with it so it is a emergency.

Unlike Buffalo 12" over night lake effect just normal.

Agree. Still surprise me that these replacement break so easily considering a factory one lasted longer, that coupled with the fact that those 6" lift kits are made to lower drive components down.
I a little bit tried to persuade my cousin to stay away from that type of lift on her Tundra. She has always wanted a big stomper like truck since she was a little girl she said, so she loves it. I'm proud of her, she's done really well for herself. It just bummer deal my cousin passed away at 55, now she alone.

I'm going to check into bed early tonight. I'm not super tired but tomorrow being Friday and a job to stay busy on, plus another I might have to move over to. I just want to be well rested.

I need to get to bed early, too. I have a feeling I'll need to take the first layer of snow off of the driveway before work. :frusty:

    Never mind.

    Campus is closed tomorrow. :yay:

I'll still end up driving my wife to work, though.
