Hey guys. I thought since Ive gotten a few things done to my truck I should show it off. Its not much compared to some other guys on here but it is still a work in progress. Let me know what you guys think!:D

Got her used in Costa Mesa from a AutoTrader add. Came with 75k miles and a 13,500 price tag. It is a 2005 Tacoma TRD Offroad.

First, I wanted to see what she could do stock so I took her on a trail run at Cleghorn with some buddies.

Then, my cd player kept spitting out cds so I figures, why not get a nice one that nobody would want to steal. Its a Clarion unit.

Then I wanted to do some exterior mods. First came the plasti dipped emblem. Did about 5 coats. Came out great!

Then I installed some eagle eyes but before i did that I put a thick bead of silicone on them so they wouldn't leak.

Then came the KRFAB tire gate. I got this from RCFreak because I plan on upgrading rim and tire size. Plus it looks awesome!

Hi guys. As many of you already know, I recently decided to pull the trigger on a longtravel kit. At the time, I had enough for the Camburg kit that I wanted but after thinking about it, I wanted something different. I then approached LSK here on the forums about doing a prototype kit for my 2nd gen. They automatically accepted the challenge. Seeing these guys work is pretty incredible. Most of these guys are younger college students but don't let that fool you. They are extremely familiar with doing suspension work and everything that goes into designing like stress tests, full CAD drawings, ect. Overall, I would do it all over again. They designed my kit, plasma cut all the pieces out, welded everything together, hand machined the steering extensions, bolted on the kit, cycled it (to get the travel numbers), aligned it and had me out driving it in less than a week.

The 2005-Current Toyota Tacoma LSK long travel kit is 3.5" wider than stock and utilizes fully hiemed upper control arms and a 1" uniball. The lower arms use Delrin bushings and are bolted to a 1" lower uniball. The kit itself is made out of 3/16" inch steel while the bottom is made out of 1/4" steel. It is fully mig welded together on all sides. The lower cam tab bolts have been eliminated and instead use boxed spacers so you will never need to worry about having a mechanic align your truck. It can all be done at home with a jack and a tape measure. Kit is FULLY bolt on except for the limit strap tab. Now for le pics!:D

Had a little fiasco with a shitty wheel bearing and was out of commission for a week but I got both of the bearings changes at Burbank autoparts for $165 per side. Made a helluva difference.

Heres some pictures of the spindles LSK built. I will say, if I planned on getting spindles, I prolly would have done the kit with a vertical uniball but I may do that in the future. Anyways, here are the spindles. They will work on a stock application. There will be two types. The first will be like mine with double sheared hiemed steering upgrade for stock length steering and long travel steering. The second kind will use the stock ball joints. They are made out of thicker stonger steel than camburgs but only give 3" of lift. They will work with the stock ABS sensors. Call LSK for pricing if interested.

Had a little mishap when driving to home depot

    IMG_20130824_232806_zpsc6b08e13_3a9186d7d6cc5fd053342b9443217c1df2afc9f1.jpg

So I removed the driveshaft and took it to a specialist who upgraded all of my current U-Joints to stronger ones with grease zerks so they wont dry and turn the needle bearings out like these did.
(NOTE: The grease under the truck was residual grease when the u-joints were packed.)

Previous owner stripped a couple coilpack bolts and water got in when I was cleaning the engine. Had to buy new valve covers because I didn't want to use a hiel coil and the seals were seeping a little bit of oil so I knocked out two birds with one stone. (got the engine dirty again. lol)

Bought this Bestop from a member on here for $100 shipped. Was very pleased to see that it was in fantastic condition and the windows looked like they were never put on!

Bought a Scanguage 2. Wish I got one sooner. Great little unit.

Mounted my 2 ton harbor freight jack on the c4 fabworks jack mount/skid. It's pretty cool. Has a quick release and a way to put on a padlock. I used 4 2" 1/4" thread to mount it and it didn't move at all while I was off-roading today. I'm going to either tack the nuts on to the bolts or add security nuts so nobody can steal it by in bolting from the bottom. Also got some quickfists to mount the jack handle in the bed.

Since I have been getting a lot of PMs about this lately, here is the info on the ARP race lug studs:

ARP Wheel Studs part number: ARP#070-100-7715

This is where I ordered mine.
    http://www.jegs.com/i/ARP/070/100-77...oductId=747558

You will need 3 sets for the front because they sell them in packages of 5. I had to run a 1/4" wheel spacer because my extended thread Gorilla Lug Nuts would bottom out. You could go my route or buy some open end lug nuts. 12mmx1.5 is the size for our trucks. STOCK LUG NUTS WONT WORK

Replaced my oiled k&n intake with an AFE DryFlow Filter. Less flow but way more protection. Fits perfect on my K&N intake.

New front hubs from BamaToy1997! Check out his page if you need some hubs:

Finally got the bedsides some well deserved paint. I'll either bedline or clear vinyl the fronts since they already have a couple nicks from dirt trails

Had a little issue with one of my cam tabs bending over so I had LSK weld all of the tabs.

I also had an issue with the uniball plate hitting the LCA so we limited the steering and fixed the LCA.
