    First time posting in the Texas forum. I am looking for any input good or bad about 4wheel parts in the Houston area. I am getting closer to being able to purchase a lift kit and can't really do it myself for lack of tools, space and experience. Wanted to see what people had to say about going thru 4wheelparts for purchase and install. Any help is appreciated.

    Save your money and do it yourself. No tools or space, then keep an eye out for any wrench meets around town and do the lift there with the help of other Tacoma owners.

    How close are you to Pearland?

    If they could mess up a light bar they need to close up shop.

    Rims/tires are pretty hard to mess up too. and thry do rims/tires all day long so im sure they could do that.

    Once again...dont let them work on your truck. Do it yourself or have a reputable shop do it.

    I think my favorite one is where they sold the one guy USED bilstein 5100's :laugh:,r the one where they told the guy that Bilstein doesn't make 5100's for first gens. I can't decide.

    from alot of the stories your hear ya they have alot of bad rep on installs, but if your from DFW the 4wheelparts in coppell by my house is one of the few good ones, had my lift and gears installed through them and have had nothing but great work and customer service. Gone to them for almost all my upgrades and have always worked to get me what i want for the price i want it for. The manager doug is a nice guy and knows his shit, also that store is one of their main warehouses so they always have everything i want for my truck in stock which is another plus. 4wp conventions at market hall in dallas are a great time to get major discounts on parts and can pick it all up from their coppell location. did that with my tires, bumper, and winch saved me about 500.00 off retail.
    P.S. and no i dont work at 4wp, just giving this location some credit.
