I will start looking around. Looks like the battery leads going to the rear are around $180  and I need to convert
to a quick connector on the lead already up front. Might not happen before Moab

yea big wire is expensive. I spent $170 on wiring just to be able to mount my winch in my front bumper and mount the solenoid under the hood. look at welding cable and welding cable quick disconnects. PM scott - brutalguyracing for details. hes been using a winch like that for years.

Should the solenoid be in that box that the controller plugs in to? I didn't have time to look at it when I got home and I bought it used so I'm just trying to make sure I have everything.

A small handful of select mods.
The box your controller plugs into is the solenoid. Typically you will have 4 large gauge wires coming out of it and one small gauge wire.

if you do not see a trail up there, just state it and we'll add it to the list..

there will be many more runs than this due to the size of the group

i just got these up there for now to get the ball rolling

if you have a group already for a day and trail, just let me know and i'll put it up there

if there is a trail that you really want to run, but don't see any interest yet, just say something, start a list...i'm sure you'll find others looking to go.

you'll find a list of trails (does not include every trail, but a majority) here, http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/moab/243311-2013-t-co-gathering-official-thread.html#post5813508

    i think i'm up-to-date

once again, if you do not see a trail on there that you want to run, let's get it added to the list. if a trail you want to run is full, we'll add a different start time or day and get you on the trail.

we need to keep the sizes down for numerous reasons, so if a trail is getting too big, one of us will shut it down and cap it.

please review the list of trails on the first page or through other means and feel free to add any trail that you wish to run.

this will help out greatly in the planning process, so the more we can get an idea of who's going where, the better it will be for those who need time for planning

You'll be alright. If you don't get anyone who's run it before the spots to be careful are mostly when you're coming down. The bottom of the Z-turn is a little deceptive and it's really important to come down the last 2 ledges really square or it can get tippy quick. Same with coming down Devil's crack. Coming down the crack is offcamber to the driver side already so the passenger rear will get really light. There's a bit of a notch in the center than if you straddle coming down will keep you most level. Oh yeah, and don't let the 150' drop to the river that's right in front of you rattle your nerves. :)

Otherwise there are lots of ledges up and down the rim that all have a slight off camber. Just try to come off everything as squarely as you can.

Coming down is when you need to be most careful because gravity has you coming down already and if someone tips over coming down it's easy to just keep rolling since the entire trail is sloped. Don't let that scare you, just be careful and you'll have a blast. It's a great trail.

    :goingcrazy:

yea going down will definitely be our biggest worry. all about line choice and knowing where the tires are and where they're heading.

thanks for the tips..it's definitely been high on the list and with our trucks setup the way they are now, i feel we're in a good position to have fun on the trail
