I'm having my Glassworks fenders painted on Monday. And I want a Safari Snorkel. This is a problem.

I've seen all the threads of people using the DIY method, none of them are as clean as I want it to be...so I'm looking for new ideas. Fire away.

I've seen that thread, Chris. I don't like it, not clean enough for me or to show the truck at the events we go to with my shop. The pics are in his photobucket album.

I need to figure this out it's driving me nuts.

Why the need for the snorkel? Functionality or looks? Or both?

Kase, I like the functionality, but a big part of why I want one is the look.

I don't ford water often, but I'd like to know that I can, and not be limited just because I have fiberglass fenders.

I love the look of the safari snorkel, and of course it's functionality is unsurpassed by any other means...but I just wish ARB would make one that fits my exact fender so I don't try to make one myself and ruin my new fiberglass. Because that's exactly what will happen.

Another option, again, for functionality, is doing what Tyler (Socalduckslayer) did, and run the ducting to the inside of the cab. Aggressive sound, no water gets in, but no look of the snorkel.

    Too many to list now.
Airflow. They make them at least for our tacoma fenders, the safari isn't even specific to ours. It'd at least be easier to modify. I'm more than likely doing the same thing at some point down the line. Want to run glass up front but need the snorkel.

The snorkel was meant for a landcruiser prado. It kind of fit, bit I had to cut and melt it back together to get a better angle on it.
