What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

As long as you keep your accessories on one side and give yourself enough slack it makes no difference opening it, the wires kind of act like a hinge. The blue seas fuse block has 4 holes for mounting, drill through the lid of the stock box and use some small nut and bolts to fasten it.
I took a picture of the top of the fuse box, printed it out, laminated it and glued it to the inside of the lid.

 

Wanting to do a satoshi/raptor style grille. What all do I need?

 

Mesh, bondo or fiberglass, dremel, raptor style letters from the guy at bamf, paint, time, and beer

You won't be able to fit the TOYOTA letters though that Jerry makes, they are too big.

 

He said the 4runner letters will fit

 

Go with the fj emblem it looks good

 

So I have a small knocking noise coming from behind my gauge cluster... Can't exactly pinpoint it because it does it when I accelerate

Wanting to know if anyone else has had this problem and if they found a solution to it

As for a satoshi, do a Prius badge like meeee!

 

the speedometer is cable driven from the tranny. It'll make nosie if its wore out bad sometimes.

 

Tells you have fast your going....mechanical thing.

My old Ranger used to make a grinding noise in the dash when I stepped on it, pretty sure thats what it was. They just get old.

 

Got the same problem but not behind my gauge cluster but behind the air vents above the radio. I press on top of the dash and it stops

 

Installed a HomerTaco Satoshi grill today. Looks awesome! My first real mod other than adding a cap and replacing leaf springs. Love my little Taco. I'll get pics once I wash the salt off.

Ordered these the other day because when I bought my truck it did not have any tow points. These are made by Rampage offroad and meet for CJ's, YJ's, and TJ's. TJ's(those are Jeeps for those who don't know) have same bolt hole spacing as the factory tow points so it's sorta bolt up and go. Did have to trim the bumper to clear, still have to clearance some more and cut the other side.
