What all did the Dirt Kings include? Did you need to purchase any additional hardware that you had to cut out in the removal process of the stock LCAs? I'm in the same boat you were with needing to replace bushings. I just don't exactly have $1500 at the moment.

Also, don't the stock LCAs have the rubber bump stops on them? and from looking at the Dirt Kings, there's no option for reinstalling those...correct? Just trying to get everything thought of and planned if I do pull the trigger.

I went ahead and replaced all 4 bolts/cams and greased the crap out of them.

The DKs have all the bushings on the frame side, and a uniball and bolt that replaces the LBJ on the stockers. If cutting the bolts out you will need new ones, I went with the Moog greasables discussed in this thread, ~$80 for a pair of bolt sets from Rock Auto, PN: K100128, you need two of these kits.

If you cannot swing the cost for the DKs, the most cost effective solution is to remove the bushings and install new ones as detailed in this thread, though quite a PITA. I would recommend the Moogs based on my experience with the Whitelines, even though I have not actually used the Moog bushings.

The bump is attached to the frame for both, DK provides a spacer for the bump to move it down a bit due to the design of the arm the strike pad is further away, and the spacer makes up for this difference.

Did you go with the Moogs or OEM?

Good deal, those look to be the same as the Moog but without the zerk. Just looked at your build, looks like you got a good alignment out of them as well.

Yep, time will tell if they "wallow out" the hole like the cases with Moogs. I meant to (and still can) get a thickness of the Washers to compare to the Moogs. They are pretty beefy washers. I also am using the Moog bushings, slathered in Red'n'tacky.

Did you have to trim/grind the steering stops like must be done with the Total Chaos LCA's?

I don't know about the TC issue, do you have more info? The DKs have a stop built in that you can grind down to fine tune, I have not messed with it at all yet, but it does feel to limit the wheel more than stock, but I haven't proven that by any comparison yet, so it could be just my perception.

You can see it here next to the uni, looks like a gusset.

I believe you answered my question, Thanks! As for the TC arms I read somewhere on here that you have to grind away the steering stop from the lower spindle/ball joint mount, not from the LCA

Okay great, thanks for the info! I'm still deciding since I really want DKs but trying to figure out how to afford/justify it. Heard anything about the energy suspension bushings?

    No problem!

I believe they will work well if your arms and bushings are not super rusted to shit, and you can get the old bushings out easily. I think I linked a few threads a couple pages back where they were installed.

To correct your Steering/Alignment issues, did you replace your LCA bushings or simply install Moog Cam Bolt Kit?

MOOG Part #K100128 Problem Solver Caster / Camber Cam Bolt Kit

Any chance you have your updated alignment numbers?

    Thanks

I replaced the upper control arms with Camburgs (the ball joint model), the lower control arm bushings with Moogs, and installed the Moog cam bolts all at the same time. It was after I installed all of those parts that I had trouble getting Toyota to align it properly. All they do is mess with the toe (tie rods are easier to adjust) and send you on your way. They blamed it on my Moog parts and said they were sub-par quality which is why the truck was pulling to one side (I only replaced the LCA bushings on one side-the seized side).

I've since thrown away the alignment sheet but the kind folks here will be able to help you out if you're having alignment issues. Have you tried rotating the tires first? I would do that first before you buy new tires.

Getting the impression MOOG Cam Bolt Kit will not provide any additional range over Stock.

Alignment issues can really only be addressed with UCAs, due to the amount of caster they provide.

    thanks

You're correct. The cams that come with the Moogs are roughly the same size as the stock. My truck has a 3 inch OME/Toytec lift and it had the stock UCAs for 7 years before I upgraded to the Camburgs. The truck pulled straight for all 7 years. It was just more "squirrelly" and a PITA on the interstate. Your truck should not be pulling to one side. I suggest finding a better shop if rotating your tires doesn't help.

Where can you purchase the sleeve only for the front of the lca other than stealership? as well as the rear cam bolt of the lca?

The moog front (smaller) lca bushings are not working out for me..
I finally figured out my Pop,Clunk,Bang,Knock in the front end. The diameter of the Moog bushing sleeve is too small and is "breaking loose" from the LCA..

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Is your lca mount loose too? Either the video is playing tricks on my eyes, or it is moving a lot more than it should be.

The bushing is loose in the LCA. The camera is strapped underneath on the LCA looking up (upside down) lol. What do you mean by LCA mount?

Edit: oh, I see.. No the frame/lca mount is staying still and the LCA is moving. But the camera makes it look reversed being strapped to the LCA.
