    Hello,

I went mudding for the first time in my 2012 Tacoma TRD-Off-road and bottomed out. After I got home I checked the undercarriage and saw this electrical? cord hanging down near the rear bumper. Anyone knowledgeable on what it is, and if there is any action for me to take?

I'm going to wash my truck after I find out what this damn cord is and if it's okay to get wet.

    Thank you.
    Dan

It's to hook a trailer up to. It's your trailer harness. You busted it and that's hanging down

    Thanks Buell.

I'll cover it in plastic when I wash today.

I don't have a trailer but I'd prefer to keep it working just in case.

    What would you do?

I would buy a relocation bracket to mount it somewhere else.

Check with @bullaculla he makes them.

    Awesome thanks everyone.

And yeah I'm digging the new red dirt color. Maybe I'll just wash the underbelly ;)

I smashed mine in 2007... the first mod I did to the truck. I just zip tied it up to the bottom behind the bumper out of the way. Always worked for me and gave me more clearance!
