Made some great progress this weekend. Learned some great lessons, most importantly being that deep socket metric wrenches are needed more often than you'd think. The right tool makes a job 10x easier.

Started with my CB install. I already had a Midland 75-822 Handheld, and had a 5' Wilson 1000 in the past and it was just too obnoxious. So I decided to run a 3 ft firestik on a Rago Fabrication ditch light mount. Ran the Coax through firewall on passenger side and underneath kick panel, step rail, and finally under driver's seat. The best I can get my SWR is 1.9 on both channel 1 and 40. I will try to work on that lol.

Then I plasti-dipped my grille, yay. I might redo in the future because it came out a little too textured

Finally, worked really hard on my HID install. I chose the TRS Morimoto 35w 5500k kit. I bought off Amazon so I didn't get the 9006 to H11 harness adapter(had to run to NAPA to get one). They look awesome but a lot of work making the brackets which I made of 16g steel sheet metal.

These are the Rock Auto ones on my truck. I installed them as is. Match up with the center section pretty close. A little Meguiers Ultimate black and they look great. I didnt even remove the center section when replacing them. Only hard part was the flat locking plates on the top inside of the caps. They didnt get re installed, no issues without them thus far.

I got one in the mail yesterday. They do match the off-road flares as well. I can tell I'll be happy with them when I install both. Thanks for the Meguiers tip!

For you my man, sure. I was honestly contemplating not putting coilovers on. It looked really good with the wheels and 265/70/17 tires. Now I want 285s.

Ok.. I did a walkthrough for my project this weekend. Ripped everything out of the interior, put in sound deadening, and then reinstalled. Full walkthrough is on my build page here: Walkthrough

Thanks a bunch! Been eying the 10's and Stealth 6's in the wheel forum but most have lifts. Figured I'd be able to get away with wheels and ask for forgiveness after the fact .

Swore up and down I wouldn't change wheels or lift when we bought it, although a minor lift has crossed my mind. I think a lift now would definatley earn me a long term stay on the couch . And fitting anything that requires cutting and chopping would earn me walking papers.

I was eyeballing a set for my Taco, but I noticed the black with orange stitching costs $150 more than black with black stitching. How does orange stitching cost another $150 over black stitching? Or am I reading it wrong?

I guess if I ever order some, I'll just have to do the black stitching.

The black on black is a stocked item. Orange or any other colored stitching is a special order and only made by request so it will cost more.

It's not their standard option. Custom always costs more. They are worth it though. I don't mind paying more for good products. These are by far the best covers IMHO.

Mine are shown below. I didn't want their custom red stitch throughout the whole seat, just on the double stitching and it cost even more. Just how it is. I love them.
