    Never enough
    I just did this mod this evening. 8 ft of hose worked out perfectly for me to allow enough slack for full droop without having to worry.

    I know this is an old post, but I did pretty much the same thing w/ letting my hose just droop down from the frame and was wondering if you had any issues down the road w/ that set-up?

    The issue is how much droop and how does it droop? Is there enough slack for when the suspension fully flexes? Will the breather hose catch on anything?

    I am pretty confident that there is enough droop for the suspension to fully extend. I guess I'll just have to watch it to make sure it does not catch on anything. It ended up a lot like this one:

    This and that...

    5/16 or 3/8 inner diameter? The other main tread is using a 3/8 hose... Thanks!

    Just did this tonight using the yotashop kit (didn’t feel like making a run to the dealer).

    Thanks for the write up!

    @uncleART

    Thanks for this post. Appreciate you consolidating a few things and posting your method here.

    One thin I learned doing this, check the auto stores websites first, I went to Oreilly’s to get the few things needed, should have said no to the fuel hose.....paid way to much for it, after looking on the web for pricing. I had to buy by the foot, which I figured would be the same pricing as what I thought I saw on the small packs they had....guess not.

    Live and learn, but thanks again! Now the truck is lake ready!

    Great writeup!
    I'm new to TW and the truck itself so I assume my question will appear stupid to most of you;
    Are those Toyota parts listed in the beginning good for 3rd gen? (19 TRD OR)

    P.S. Yes, I did go through this thread and two others on the same topic and I didn't find the answer ( or simply missed it)

    I don’t know for sure if the parts will fit a 3rd gen. My guess is that they would. You could always check with a dealer parts counter...

    The only compatibility-critical part is the union that threads into the diff housing. I can confirm it does indeed fit the 3rd gen TRD diff housing.
