Got my 255/80/17 ST Maxx Mounted up on my totally stock 2018 TRD sport yesterday. Stock wheels/stock height. No rubbing so far and I doubt it will ever rub. I haven't been able to really stuff them yet but did try in a small ditch and had no issues. Tires are quiet enough for an aggressive AT/MT hybrid tire. I will wait to comment on how smooth they are. I have a little more vibration than expected, but they have 7 miles on them. I plan to drive the truck quite a bit this weekend and I will report back then.

Here it is. The conclusive evidence I searched high and low for STOCK 3rd Gen sport with 255/80 pizza cutters.

stock at this time, would like a quality suspension leveling lift, performance exhaust system, offroad tires, off road lights ect....
So your suspension is still stock, if you are running stock then I will order my Toyos 255/85/16 tomorrow. Thank you.,

I have an Old Man Emu lift on my truck. I suspect stock would rub a lot with the Toyos. They are the largest of the 255/85/16 size.

So I'm not sure where to go next, looking for some good direction.
2010 TRD Sport, 4dr, Silver with a Leer cap, 200k miles. new 2-3/4" lift front and rear, Rancho and Old Man Emu
When they installed the new suspension they could not complete the alignment due to frozen camber bolts so this has not been corrected.
I would like to run 255/80/17 or 34/10.5/17 but not sure if I NEED new wheels with 4.5" BS or can run stock wheels, or spacers? Currently the UCA is overhanging the tires, (stock 265s). Could this be due to not adjusting the camber after installing the lift?
Another concern I have heard was the LT 10 ply tires on a comparatively light vehicle.
This is my daily driver that I wish to convert into my hunting/camping truck.
I've honestly read so many different things that now I'm kind of scratching head....

10 plys are fine. I drive a reg cab and my bfg km2s ride nice.

Get the alignment fixed, might have to cut off the camber bolts and get new ones. I heard the washers and tabs are prone to rusting.

What do you mean by the UCA is overhanging the tire?

might try the suspension thread. Probably get more help in there. But that looks off. ( pics can be deceiving)

Your camber is way way off ... after a relatively large lift like that you will be a couple degrees off. The tire is leaning in at the top. You shouldn't have any issues fitting 255's once the alignment is corrected. If you run it like that you will limit the up-travel at some and crash the tire into the control arm.

Thanks, that what I was thinking this morning after I drew a little diagram of how the components should move together. It is nice to hear affirmation. I have an appointment for alignment next week and only drive 1 mile to work so I should make it that long.

maybe i missed it in 52 pages of reading, but is it crazy to run 245/70R17 on Stock sport rims with Stock suspension? I like a slightly skinnier look, and my mall crawler doesn't really need some big beefy wheels. I'm looking at the Cooper Disc A/T3's because they seem to be a great compromise between a great ride and a tire with some attitude. I also like my stock rims and don't want a lift.
Basically i just like the look

    Anybody upgrade 285/70r17 in a duratrac to 34/10.5r17 ko2 ?

Worth it? 1/2” taller and 1/2” skinnier?
