My trucks name is Gandalf Da Grey, I'm @C41n and I am a bit of a nerd.

We are beginner friendly group of Tacoma owners who like to play in the dirt. Everyone of all skill and experience levels are welcome to join us. Only thing I ask is to have a good attitude. Nothing else really matters all that much.

    Next Meetup: TBD

    What should you bring?[/SIZE]
Note: This is a very basic list. If you have a Get home bag, bring it. We don't leave anyone behind, but you never know what could happen.
If you do not have any of the above, you will not be turned away. Lack of a permit is on you though if it comes down to it. Permit funds do go to support the trail maintenance. You should buy one.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    GPS:
Highly recommend you download Gaia GPS, or another offline map (OnX Offroad GPS, etc) app on your phone. Then get familiar with it prior to heading out. Download an offline map for the area you are headed to.

For the browns camp area here is a great post with info on how to download a pack of most of the trails in the area. (For Gaia GPS)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Recommended basic recovery gear:
There is a lot more you could carry. However with the few items above you are in far better shape than having nothing. For more reading check out the recovery section of this forum.

Original first post preserved below for prosperity:

    Hey all,

I am taking out my new Tacoma this Sunday to browns camp area in Tillamook State forest. Running a full stock 2020 TRD off-road. Not new to off roading, but this will be my first time out in a truck. First big mod will be sliders, but I am not sure when that is happening. So I am going to be extra careful and not doing anything too difficult. Throwing that out there so expectations are set.

That being said, I would love to have some other Tacomas join in on the fun.

    Anyone interested in coming out?

Had a lot of fun today. Ended up going alone with my lady. Here's a few pictures. Posted more on instagram.

Aired the stock tires down to 18psi. They did great. Don't understand the hate everyone seem to have for em.

Thinking I may go out again next Sunday. Love to have some company. Also considering heading over to Mt Hood somewhere.

Shout out to @TacoTim85. He and his wife came out to play yesterday and we had a great time. Our Tacoma's are literally twins, right down to the option packages.

Planning another outing some time soon. Will change the title and post here when I have details.

We only did a section of one trail. University Firepower I think, but I am not 100%. Did a lot of wandering around. Been years since I was out here on a regular basis and I am still trying to remember my way around. Also the Tacoma is much longer than the TJ I used to take out here. Still learning what it can do with the longer wheelbase. No sliders yet, so not doing anything too risky without that protection.

Edit - TacoTim85 got a good picture of the trail sign, it was University Firepower
