You ain't the last guy to the party. I grabbed my green line today too.
My wife is Chinese and eight is a lucky number. Our house is number 28 which should be "double luck" but it is a money pit. 88 on the speedometer might signal that Marty McFly was about to travel in time if the speedo was in MPH.

That came out really well! Awesome job!

Do you think there could be a way to modify the location of the bolt? I’m hoping to move mine back as far as possible.

    I thought about that.
1 problem is sliders. I had to cut my front mount off.
2 problem is the body is 1 layer on top and another on bottom.

But yes you can move it back. Personally I'd cut the top layer out like a square. Then insert a tube then weld the top layer back on. Of course drill your hole b4 any cutting and welding.

Thank you its not ideal and I can makes excuses like wind and shielding gas and crappy grinder disc's but hey it was what it was.

I also thing you can cut the body hole out, cut another square hole behind it and just swap places.

Or get that price from a junk yard and weld it in further back. And just leave the original...

    Thanks man.

Awesome! Looks great and appreciate the insight. My slider is in the way so I’m thinking of just a straight mount (similar to stock) but further back.

    summer project I think.

“grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain’t” is my slogan lol. Just needs to hold.

One of the roof trim moldings flew off in the car wash today and doesn’t look like it’s going to hold Since the clip by the front window isn’t holding the rubber. anybody have any experience with this? I assume I’ll take it to the dealer for a warranty replacement.

Same trouble with one of mine. If I can’t get the right clip without buyin’ the whole piece, tempted just to put a dab of silicone on ‘er & call ‘er good.

Yup! I flipped over from trip to odo and saw the line of 8s, was lucky enough to be sitting around 88 as i merged onto the 427 :D

Not sure if it's warranty or not. I heard it's a normal thing to happen during touch car washes.
All it does is cover up the bolt holes for the oem roof rack, so there isnt any harm about it not being on.
You can add some silicon caulking to keep it down worst cae

@Norilsk are you using Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore paint on your fenders?
