u will need an AAL for the back then if you go a full 3 inches.

If your budget is that small IMO you shouldn't be lifting the truck you should be searching for these answers in this forum. It's easier to research then be spoon fed answers in your own thread if the truth is what you are looking for.

See here if you wish to look at others personal experiences with this:

A simple Google search pops up hundreds of threads about these lifts.

here's my truck with 5100s @ 2.5" with 1.5" AAL (TSB 4 leaf pack) in the rear.
this is with my box loaded with tools, last weekend I determined that the rear drops 3/4" unloaded vs loaded.

    soooo... bring on the flaming..

    BUT..

im running the ProComp 3" kit.. im perfectly happy with it. It really doesnt ride THAT rough. Ive had multiple people including other members say that my truck actually rides smooth, and even smoother than others.

I did have alignment issues and that was solved with new LR UCA's.. now, the truck rides great, tracks straight, and I have no issues. My CV's are fine as well. angles are fine, no pinching, tearing, etc.

If your on a budget, and dont plan on wheeling it too hard (even though it WILL wheel just fine, believe me) go for it.

for the price, its a pretty good set up.

BUT.. since you are 2wd.. I agree with the others.. I'd go spindles.

So I'm trying to get you a better lift for over $150 cheaper. What's the problem?

You seem dead set on the procomp for some reason, so just get it and ignore us.

If I was going to replace my front shocks I'm pretty sure I'd want to do the same to the back
