Do you have a link for these? What difference have you seen after installing them?

I have yet to do this. Remember polyurethane can be very stiff. This mod isn’t for the lighthearted. I don’t recommend anyone doing this unless you 100% know what you’re getting into. It may cause some noise & it’s not a true “body lift.” If you want a body lift Toytec has a 1 inch .

some ppl report more noise afterwards some don’t. I think it’s a great mod to do down the road. I’m only @ 72k miles though. This is what I’ll do once my supports are shot.

As a new Tacoma owner and reading this thread... I'm glad to see nothing has crossed my "Must-Do" threshold.

All these things are great, but there is nothing super serious here. Goes a long way to show how great these trucks are.

Hell yea. I did do the no steal tailgate mod my first week of ownership. Today, I just bought the stuff to do the mouse mod. I moved to a neighborhood with a field & lots of mice. Garage kept but still

Here is a thread with some good info- did this to mine as well and it’s been great so far (when I get to use it). If you were interested I’d say do it at the same time if you wanted new covers. I was going to link the kit I bought on Amazon but it’s not there. This one one eBay looks the same though. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/is-adding-heated-seats-a-pita.643296/

By chance do you have links on where to get/how to on the Tech deck, mirror riser, and mini bed stiffners?

Tech Deck and mirror riser can be had via BirdDawg Industries Just recently got a mirror riser through them. Good fit and finish. Make sure to apply 3M (real stuff) double sided tape to top most point. Prevents some of the horror show pictures I have seen people post here.

Think the mini bed stiffeners are from CaliRaised. Personally I went with Total Chaos bed stiffeners. Beefers :curls: And you get 2 antenna/whip mounts outs the deal too!

If you do any serious offroading the difference would be a faster path to cracked radiator support frames (this will eventually happen on any Tacoma driven hard offroad) and possible cracked body mounts. The OEM soft ones are actually the right ones to use. I wouldn't change these.

yep birdawg for the tech deck and riser. There was another option but he’s not making them anymore.

I got my mini stiffies from @Tttacodan
. Member here and great customer service.

Work great for my purpose, if you’re putting a camper or something on then I’d get full size.

I've done a bunch of stuff to my base model 2008 (5 lugger) but I'm wanting to attain "intermittent wiper" status - Can you help?

To be honest, it fulfilled my need to mod... I guess it gives piece of mind with extra stability and extra tie down points. There are reports of cracking the bed with stress from off road but you really need stiffners if you're putting a camper or a bunch of weight on the back. At least that is my understanding. The minis were a great price and I checked that box.
