    Based on what?

    Based on nothing apparently...
Clearly you've not heard of Crashnburn80 yet. Here do some reading.

They're at best 112 lumens brighter than stock, and only 9 lumens brigher than a $20 halogen drop in bulb.

I would be a little skeptical about statistics coming from the manufacturer over someone who's got a longstanding reputation and consistent testing with high end spectrometers like Crashnburn80.

That was MESO's testing results, not manufacturer. He even shows a retro set he has that murders the Morimotos as well.

I know crashnburn80 is amazing and extremely trustworthy though. Like I said. These lights aren't the absolute brightest but they're very bright and very clean looking.

Also for me it was an obvious choice since I got them far cheaper than probably anybody else.

Note that the readings provided in those posts are using inadequate and inaccurate equipment for the test, and even TRS does not use the proper equipment to measure their own products, despite pointing out their flawed methods repeatedly. What is worse is their 'independent 3rd party testers' are equally as poorly equipped with a lack of understanding.

These ones correct? The TRD pro with sequential turn signal. Will they be able to be used with my sr5 snd do i need a special wire harness? Are these the best OEM option?

    thinking about ordering

    thanks for your help

@daveeasa sells harnesses which will be required for the OEM LED swap, but I’m not certain on SR5 compatibility. I seem to recall the SR5 had some differences.

I thought the trail edition was a TRD? Post a photo of the headlights you have right now, if they have an L shaped LED DRL then you have "TRD" headlights and my TRD conversion harness will work, or you have several alternative options listed in the DIY thread. If they are SR/SR5 headlights (perhaps you are talking about a different vehicle than the one in your profile) then you would need Johnny's secret sauce harness for the conversion (more expensive) because he de-multiplexes DRL and Turn from a single source as the ECU DRL capability is not directly accessible on SR/SR5 (at least we haven't managed to enable and capture it yet).

Not sure i just posted a picture of my headlights they arent LEDs they are halogen but maybe you will be able to tell by looking at them. I believe the trail is on the sr5 trim but as for the headlights idk

Yeah, that sure does look like the SR headlight to me, though I'm no expert. @Puppypunter can confirm and then his thread would have the goods you seek.

It would appear that headlight-wise you are in the SR5 world. Good for me to learn. I just thought trail edition was so cool it'd have the TRD goodies.

Oddly, when I did some small test driving, I liked the SR look the best and my wife liked the DCLB SR5. I wound up with OffRoad only because I refused to budge on getting an MT, much to my wife's chagrin. Had I been more accepting of AT, I likely would be more aligned with Johnny except I'd at least have a longbed. The 5' bed thing is just so small that I wound up buying back my '02 Tundra for "real truck" stuff.

Does anyone know if the new LED headlights will work on a 2022 trd sport? i haven't found anything on if the conversion works with just 2016 - 2020 or also includes the 2021 and 2022 models. Sparks parts compatibility checker shows 2021 model is incompatible so i'm not to sure.

No changes for 2022, if you have a sport you can do OEM LED just like the rest of us.
