Oh I have no idea about the ABC setup, whether it will work or not. I didn't know you had already ordered something. But if you have an SR stereo the RFCC controller will work with your truck.

Brian got back to me. It will work in either system. In my system there are a couple wires on the ABC harness that need to be connected.

Probably been asked already and I skimmed thread but didn't see it and hope someone can help me. I ordered the camera and want to put my switch to the left of the steering wheel in my unused blank. Is there enough wire in the kit to do that, or do I need to add wire. If i need to add wire, what gage? (i was thinking 18?). Most of the install videos have them mount the switch under the radio by removing an existing switch. Not my preference. Thanks!

There is not enough wire. I had to make my own and route it under the steering column. It's worth it though but I might route it to the overhead one day so I have something to push up there.

Why not but the kit that uses the steering wheel controls to toggle between the front and rear camera. That's what I ordered as Im out of switches under the climate control area and the switches to the left of the steering wheel are not a flush fit as the ones I found.

Be aware that item is ONLY the camera, not the entire camera/harness package. You need the entire harness for a new installation.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've been lurking and I'm pretty sure THIS is the right kit to get, because I'm not sure which switch I want yet, or if I want the controls on the steering wheel.

Edit to say that I also know the anytime camera is shit, so assuming this camera works fine, the linked harness and whatever switch I pick should complete the package.

Not sure if there is a better spot, but would appreciate if someone could point to what is wrong. I have the ABC kit and was trying to install it but after all the wiring was complete using the switch just made the screen go black for forward or rear camera. I can see the front camera coming on (thanks too the LEDs on it) so I removed the harness with the video cables on it and the switch was able to turn the rear camera on so I put the harness back in and connected the video cables like below. I was expecting the rear camera to continue working, but instead the video was black again. I'm guessing this indicates that either on of the video cable ends is faulty or the whole harness is. Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?

I'd test each pin for continuity with a multimeter.

That found it... it was the positive wire on the female cable. Fortunately had another one sitting around. Working now!

I’m going to be installing my kit this weekend and want to add the nav override while I do it.

This wasn’t available as an option on the kit when I ordered, but from what I’ve read, is it just as simple as cutting the wire on pin 17 of the 28-pin harness and then putting a switch in-line?

Can't recall if that's the correct number (pretty sure it is) but it's as easy as that.

So I picked up the ABC harness kit without camera. Brian emailed me instructions on how to hook up for the non etune/SR stereo. Super easy install. I laid everything out and tested it all prior to running wires. First try, all was good and it worked exactly as described. I then ran all the wires and reconnected everything and we are in business. Super easy install.

I did buy the wrong camera from Amazon, so in 10 days or so I’ll have the correct camera, and will return the wrong one.

Did you have to shim the camera to get it to point up a bit? The one from the kit I got looked like it was really pointing down and you could not see the horizon. I just ordered this camera and can't wait.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
The only issue I have left is the switch. Everything works fine on it but for the illumination, how re you guy getting the switch to dim with the rest of the panel when you want to dim it? Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if anyone answered you but I just got my ABC harness a few weeks ago and discovered that the Blue and Grey wires are what provides illumination with dimming but the ABC harness provided does not have that tapped into anymore. I have asked later in this thread if someone knows what wires do provide illumination from the 24 pin plug.

I purchased the kit a few weeks ago. I would say the back light is similar to the OEM back light but cant compare yet until I install the kit this weekend.
