I have a 2013 DCSB and last night I tried to follow this:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/lighting/132862-fog-lights-w-parking-low-beam-high-beam.html

After I wired it up I tested the lights and found that they had the same stock functionality and the mod did nothing. I was planning on trying again tonight when I have more time, but when I got in my car today I have. Check engine light, my TRAC OFF light is on, and my cruise control, TRAC and RSCA buttons do not work.

What could I have done to cause this by accident? I unhooked the battery while at work to see if the computer just needs to be reset after pulling the relays.

Anyone have any ideas? Did I short something by accident?

I have done it, and it worked fine. Are you sure you tapped into the correct wire? If my old man memory serves me, it's the light green one, also make sure you bend the connector to the right if you are standing on the drivers side.

This is the one I used: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/4838-cheap-free-mods.html

In my sig is another take on the foglight anytime mod. Mine is simple to do, looks cleaner when done and makes it so that your fogs turn off when your headlights turn off and stay on when your brights come on. If you want your fogs on with your headlights off this won't do that. The trade-off is no dead battery if you forget to turn your fogs off because they still turn off when your headlights turn off.

On the 12's and 13's they changed which wire does what. You need to undo what you did and replace a fuse or 2. Then search the mod for 12's plus!
