Yeah I have an 07. Didn't catch that so thanks for pointing it out. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Which temp do y'all monitor? Pan or TC?
I have to pick one cuz the others are voltage, MPG and coolant and if I pick more than 4 I can't see it anymore.

I monitor both but if had to choose one, I’d monitor pan. Maybe even drop coolant since there’s a dash gauge for that one

It works now. Thanks everyone! As for the dash gauge that thing only moves if you're about to blow the head gasket. It's mostly an idiot light with a needle

I know this is a second gen thread, but, does anyone have a PID formula that might work with a 3rd gen 2.7 4cyl?

Have you tried the second gen formula and that didn’t work?

I have tried the ones on this thread. Do you know of any others?

Will this work on the MT? I use mine for work in vary rough conditions daily. Would be nice to know if I’m pushing it to hard in some areas.

I'm pretty sure that the MT doesn't have Temp sensors. You may be able to purchase an aftermarket gage/sensor and mount it to your trans.

I’ve been trying this on my ‘19 3rd gen 3.5L Taco and showing “no data” every time. Anyone have any advice?

What a great thread. I've had OBD Fusion for a couple of years, not being a technician I was kinda like it's cool but not a lot of use to me. Being able to add the A/T temp is great, plus I figured out how to add other displays I didn't know I had.

Thanks to all who contribute here!

Not sure if this will help here, but I found a fairly obscure site that listed this equation for the Torque App that worked to measure the Converter temp on my 3rd gen 2.6L 4cyl Automatic. Maybe someone will be able to format this to work with your Fusion App.

    Name: Transmission Temp (Converter)
    Shortname: Converter Temp
    Mode and PID: 2182
    Equation: ((((C * 256) + D ) * (7/100)-400)/10)
    Min Value: -40
    Max Value: 325
    Units: F

That looks almost the same- only diff jumping out at me is in the formula, the A and B are replaced by C and D. Interesting...

Outstanding, entered this PID this morning on my OBD Fusion app and worked perfectly. Now I can service my tranny with an accurate fluid check. Many thanks!

Is it worth buying the “Toyota Enhanced Diagnostics” for $9.99?

I too have thought about the enhanced diagnostics, wondering what that includes.

I know this post is old, but I bought the "toyota enhanced diagnostics" and it has what I believe are trans and converter temps. Can anyone else confirm that's what these are (I renamed them on the shown graphs, when purchased they were marked as trans temp 1 & 2. ) as I'm going to do a drain/refill soon and would prefer to just use this to read temps.

The 2 temps are for converter and pan. For a D & F , you want pan temp.

Correct, I just wanted to confirm I had them marked correctly. So I have them backwards? #1 is the converter?
