I was trying to take off a blindspot mirror the size of Texas the previous owner had on the truck. Half-way through removing the near weld-like adhesive tape the lower edge of the mirror cracked.

How hard is it to take off the mirror to replace it?

the previous owner put one on the passenger side too. I may need to adapt to it and just leave it alone.

Replacing the entire mirror assembly is no big deal, but it's a relatively expensive part. If you're looking to replace just the mirror itself in the assembly, that's a different story...

that is what I want to do. I can live with the lower edge being cracked for a while but eventually I will replace the mirror.

Next time dont pry - use fishing line and cut through it, then take the leftover adhesive and remove it with goof-off or whatever similar adhesive remover.
