Are any of you running LED headlights in your 2018s yet? I can’t seem to find any threads on it or any bulbs yet. I just got my new 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road today!

So the H11 works in the low beams and fogs for the 2018s too?

I recently purchased a pair of led bulbs but I’m a bit nervous since they produce so much heat. I’m probably going to remove them in fear of fire.

Good luck Shap!!! I've been cruizing these forums for weeks trying to figure out the best way to slightly increase light output and correct the color without breaking the bank. I'm not looking for extreme mod, just plug and play with some improvement.

A good place to start is here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/led-lighting-conversion.436865/page-149

I just installed my xenon depot LEDs in highs and lows.

Very happy but I had realistic expectations. I just came from a 2015 SRT Grand Cherokee and the bi xenon a were very good.

    These are nearly as good.

I was going to do HID lows and LED highs but the install with LEDs is just too easy.

I was thinking of hyluxtek and then just doing that later and getting it done and over with since LEDS aren't going to be as good.

I use these https://www.vleds.com/ on my 18. I changed every bulb in the truck except for high beams. No problems so far.

I worry about the heat too being in FL. But most of the time the lights aren't on during the day. As long as nothing is touching those fins, and as long as the fans are running, it's probably fine.

Thank yall for the info! Ive always used the DDM Tuning HID kits and HID Nation for my 2nd gen Tacomas, just wasnt sure if they were still a good option or if the LED kits they sell are any good. Ive been out of the Tacoma game for a while but im glad im back!

You're going to need to use the LED Drivers with our kits. They are a necessary part of the setup. The ones on the newest kits are pretty small, though, so they don't take up a whole lot of room. I would compare them to the dimensions of a business card, and they are about 1/3" or 1/4" thick.

I just found out with my Xenon Depot HID's I get the static with the radio on FM. Looks like I'll have to get some ferrite cores to clamp on the wires.

If I get HIDs will I need to get the relay harness, canbus ballast, cancelors, 35 or 55 watt? Wanting them to go in lows and fogs.
