Wanting to do a complete 3" kit with an add a leaf. I'm looking to spend around $1200-$1500 total (including if I have to pay for install/alignment) . I've been looking at the OME and the bilstein kits on toyteclifts.com. I'm wanting something with a good smooth ride for daily commuting, but the capability to perform for some light offroading (mainly camping and whatnot) .

I am currently running 265/65/18s with a spacer lift on a 2008 DCSB 4x4 TRD sport.

    My questions:
    Do I need UCAs?
    Which kit do you recommend?
    Is my budget realistic?

you can get an OME kit with AAL and not the Dakar leaf pack for around $7-800, Light racing Group Buy is going on now for UCA's is under 400(i think) so you are at $1200 there.

I would imagine a full suspension install at a shop will cost more than the $300 thats left in your budget thats listed. Alignment would be anywhere from 60 to 150 depending on where you go i would assume.

BUT, if you have basic hand tools, or just a fridge full of beer, im sure you can recruit some people to help do the install in a couple hours.

or go talk with a tech at a shop that does lifts and see if he wants to make some side money and install your lift on his off time.

i have no comment on bilstien as i have not researched that route for myself so i dont know much about it.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Lift quote I got around me for just coilovers (no spring compressor needed) and leaf pack was $600-1100.
