I will delete this thread once I find out what I need because I know it has been mentioned to death. I am looking for the mounts that guys are using to mount shovels and similar items under the bed rail. I cant search it because I dont know what they are called. I know I have seen a couple different ones on here.

    ANYONE?

I agree....and the story line was weak. Best ones were part 1: "The Ripped Sphincter" and part 5: "Ball Deep In The Hershey Highway"

they lost me after "Mountin' Dudes" but I guess I wasn't the target audience. however, the Metallica crossover "Master of Poopets" sounds intriguing.

I saw some of "Mountain Dudes". But hated it....couldn't watch it at all. I'm not the target audience either. So after an hour and 45 minutes I turned it off.

A bunch of people make them. You can google something like "tacoma bed rail shovel mount" and get a few hits. I got these which are very well made and robust: http://www.4xinnovations.com/Double-Quick-Fist-Mount-for-All-Toyota-Bed-Rails_p_138.html

I did find though that I rarely use the dual mounts, and only end up using one set, and I think there are guys out there making single ones. Something like this from RCI could be repurposed to mount quickfists instead of the supplied hardware: http://rcimetalworks.com/Tacoma-High-lift-Mount-Taco-05-15-8.htm

Who dares leave an axe out in the rain and weather?! For shame!

Ah yeah, I knew you guys had the single one, couldn't for the life of me find it. That one is very much yes.

K here's what I did. Buy the aforementioned quick fists. ^^

Quick fists come with 1/4" hardware so I bought 1/4" threaded spring nuts and a few 1/4" washers at a hardware store (Ace, Lowes, etc).

    https://www.amazon.com/Thomas-Betts-GIDDS-461513-Spring-Nut/dp/B000BPD62I

The unistrut will fit perfectly in the T-track of bedrail. Done. Sport the shovel and whatever else that you bed mounted. I made a simple mount to put a hi lift jack and a few tie down points using sawed down eye bolts.
