Bummer. Just got my 2016 TRD OR back from the dealer today. They replaced the injector on number 6 cylinder. My problem wasn't as serious as yours, just intermittent hard starting with warm engine. Will be testing mine for a few days to make sure the problem is solved. Will be watching to see how yours turns out.

This was what I thought would be the right thing to do.... Got a new one and changed it myself...Not hard. Now the orininal is a "backup"..

    ALSO...

I asked for a serpentine belt for a spare while at the dealer... they had none..."it'll be here in 2 weeks"... WTF..?? That ain't gonna help if I blow a belt 50 miles back off the highway while moose hunting :infantry:and the nearest dealer is 200 miles away (and they don't have one)... Parts guy said that it will likely never go in the life of the truck....RIGHT.... Go off road and drive through a mud puddle and a stick flips up and gets caught in the belt :mudding:....it's now F'd and I cannot drive this road without power steering and the battery will die, truck overheats in about 1 hour.... I'M SCREWED.!!!! And NO flatbed tow truck is able to come and save me either....!! (I use 4X4 to get in there)...

Better to have a spare and not need one then to not have one and need it..!

Ah okay, just curious what people's mentality might be behind keeping the new one as a "spare".

I just installed mine, took me a little longer than I thought it would because of the awkward access. Ended up having to tuck myself partially in the wheel well and try a few different extensions, but it's done. Helps to have skinny arms

So it appears the 3rd geners need to have a CPS, fuel injector, and serpentine belt to carry as spares?

Notice 3rd Gen owners. There are threads for "Show Me Your Access Cab" and threads for "Show Me Your Barcelona Red 3rd Gen" etc. etc. etc.

Gentlemen I now propose a new thread idea

"Show Us Your Broken Down 3rd Gen On a Tow Truck"

Happend to me while I was slowing down turning left then as I accelerated coming out of the turn. After a few seconds the truck came back to "life".
