so is that the update if I get them to flash my truck for the surging at high altitude? I have a really hard time taking my truck to a dealer to have it worked on. I'm a ASE tech for over 30 years so I've always done my own work.

Had some major downtime with Fiberwerx and their glass, nearly 3 months .

Is the newest 91 4.88 tune you're recommending in the new 2.0 public release? I am super lost with all that's happened since 1.04 LOL.

 

yes that is the TSB. Mat mentioned in one of his posts that the update actually creates additional base HP and fixes other issues, and he recommended anyone on 04B03 get it updated to 04B04. If you have the TechStream software you can find the update on this thread.

 

Step 0: Stop worrying

Step 1: Install the TechStream v14 that has been linked several times in the last 20 pages of this thread. Here ya go...follow the instructions in the .png file at the link:

Step 2: Update your truck from 04B03 to 04B04 using the TSB 62-18 CUW files from here (you'll use the "T-0034-18.cuw" file from inside the zip for your 2017. Just double-click the file after extracting it to a folder somewhere):

Step 3: Flash the latest 2.0 beta for 04B04 found on the 2.0 beta link:

Yes. The new beta 4.88 (91 octane) tune has a lot more giddyup and persistent power and will likely drive way better with those 5.29’s since 4.88 is close to that

 

thanks I just have to get the key gen to download past google it keeps stopping it because sees a virus

 

Set up a folder called "OVTune" and then put literally everything tuning related, including TS, into it. Create an exception for the folder in your antivirus program. Install everything into various folders created within that umbrella of OVTune. That way you can remain organized while not having to worry about your AV screwing with everything

 

I turned off my anti virus its google itself that won't let it download

 

You can't turn that off too? I use Chrome and don't have any interference.

 

yeah I got the key gen to work now.

 

ok heading for the garage I'm guessing I need to flash ovtune back to stock from gearlock, then flash the tsb, then download the new 2.0 file and flash that into the truck.
Last question I hope the ovtune cable will work for the techstream as the pass thru .

Anyone else notice in the 2.0 that the 3rd to 4th shift happens really quick? Like only in 3rd for a second or two. Is it because I cleared all my tables, or is this a common thing?

 

How many miles on the new flash?
It should be better than the last tune because part of the feedback shared with Mat was the quick 3rd to 4th

 

Maybe 80 or 90.
I need to drive it more probably because I cleared everything, right?
